    Buyer Beware

    I've engaged with D&K Appliance on several occasions. While they're acceptable if you're looking for local providers offering products at MSRP with reasonable delivery timelines, their post-purchase support is lacking.

    The true testament of a commendable service provider is gauged by their responsiveness to issues, commitment to resolving customer concerns, and aptitude to manage challenging service situations. About 18 months ago, we purchased a Speed Queen washer and dryer, backed by a 5-year warranty. Unfortunately, the dryer has been problematic since the acquisition.

    Shortly after purchase, we reached out to D&K regarding the inefficiency of the dryer. Their sole recommendation was to clean our vent, which we've done multiple times. Despite this, the drying inadequacy persisted. Our recent attempt to rectify the situation was met with delays and inefficiency from D&K. While Speed Queen offered immediate assistance by giving a ticket number and suggesting we contact another service provider, we opted to wait for D&K—a decision we now regret.

    D&K sent a new technician who misdiagnosed the issue, according to their service manager. We were scheduled for a revisit by an experienced technician. However, they failed to show up for the confirmed appointment and then added a new condition (recent duct cleaning) for service—information not shared earlier. To date, our attempts to escalate the matter within D&K have been futile.

    Interestingly, another local dealer from whom we purchased an appliance recommended the same repair service Speed Queen had earlier suggested. This prompts the question: why doesn't a manufacturer support their dealer for repairs and instead advises customers to consult another service?

    In summary, our experience with D&K Appliance has been disappointing. I would advise potential buyers to consider alternative appliance providers.

    For some reason you can't give zero stars.

    I've owned this home for 5 days. It is a new build.

    D&K delivered a washer, dryer, and refrigerator to my home. As you can see from the attached pictures, they demolished my home. My carpet, hardwood stairs, walls, ceiling, and hardwood floors were all damaged. GO TO MY GOOGLE REVIEW FOR PICTURES; THEY TELL THE TALE.

    When delivering the refrigerator the installers did not remove the doors, but attempted to deliver with them attached; that proved difficult. So, instead of simply taking the doors off, they removed the bannisters in the stairwell, causing more damage; that didn't help. What needed to be done was to remove the doors; they finally did so, laid them on my kitchen hardwood floor, causing a gash on two BRAND NEW planks.

    Somehow, as they didn't use the delivery cart (w/ rubber wheels) to move the washer and dryer, they took a piece of ceiling off of my second to third floor stairwell. Additionally, the lips of the hardwood steps took damage.

    I felt as though one of the delivery persons / installers thought my situation and the damage was comical. He also seemed annoyed I was taking pictures. I expected an apology from him, did not receive one.

    There's not much else I need to say. You'll see what I'm talking about from the pictures. It would be generous to call this even a sub-par delivery. It is/was the worst delivery experience of my life. I cannot recommend D&K with any semblance of confidence and advise everyone STRONGLY to steer clear.
