    I participated in an online focus group conducted by Research America on June 22, 2022. That day project manager Carolyn informed via text message that my $150 payment would be processed and mailed within two weeks. After not receiving that payment, I contacted Carolyn on July 15 only to be told by her that checks are mailed within four weeks - not two weeks. Since then, she and her colleague Stefan have told me my check was mailed on July 22 then later changed that date to July 27 - but no check arrived at either address they have for me. Apparently, Research America excels at giving people the run around but gets poor marks for ethics. Perhaps the BBB can help facilitate said payment.

    So, this matter is resolved.

    *** ****** participated in a research study with us in June.  A check was processed for the correct amount of $100 and mailed in July, but due to an error in our accounting system, it was mailed to the incorrect address (to another ** ****** that has worked with Research America).  Once the error was discovered, we reprocessed the check and added a $25 inconvenience fee for *** ******’s trouble and delay. 

     

    The $125 check was fedexed to an address he gave in CA and was signed for by someone at that location. 

     

    We would like to ask that this complaint be resolved as Research America Inc has sent payment (including an inconvenience fee).
