  Owner appears at my door one morning before work to tell me he is doing the neighbors' driveways and can get me a deal. His quote was $1500 over another quote we had gotten. When we tell me, he instantly drops his price by over $1000. Don't appreciate door-to-door hustling when I am trying to go to work. Prefer someone more honest.

  Awful. Unprofessional. The job is NOT done, in fact my driveway looks WORSE after so-called "sealcoating".I was driving to my appointment and was just about to exit my development in *********. The two very young men were standing near the truck and seemingly had trouble measuring the pavement. I asked hem if they were the ones who recently paved my neighbor's driveway. They said yes (apparently it was NOT TRUE because I have learned later that none of my neighbors ever heard of them ).The pair talked me into doing the sealcoating because I couldn't afford the re-pavement. They offered to sealcoat for $250. They took my phone# and promised to take pictures after it was done.No pictures were sent to me. They also did not give me their business card saying that they "ran out of cards". I had a feeling that they were not professionals. Upon coming back home I found an AWFUL picture. My driveway looked WORSE than before. New cracks appeared and the old ones were looking wider than previously after the fluid which they poured in. About a half of the cracks was not filled at all. There was NO YELLOW RIBBON prohibiting people to enter on the driveway, just a tiny bucket which they put at the foot of the driveway. The pair came by the next morning (again, no business card, no yellow ribbon as they told that they "ran out of it". I told them that the job WAS NOT DONE. They pretended that they didn't see the cracks and kept asking me where they were (???) I hope they don't come back and this nightmare is over.

  Our asphalt driveway was in need of replacement after 21 years and we wanted to extend a cut out for parking. As I began the search for a high quality, experienced and affordable contractor, the name J. Stewart Paving kept coming up from unrelated sources (neighbors and trusted contractors we had used for other services). The onsite estimate meeting with Jack convinced me that J. Stewar Paving was the right choice. When the date was set, the crew quickly got to work tearing out the old asphalt and putting down the new driveway. The crew was courteous and did a great job with clean up. Since the job was completed this past April, I've had several neighbors compliment the workmanship and ask for J. Stewart's contact information. I would recommend them without hesitation!
