    My boyfriend and I went to DR punt Cana, dreams resort and spa to celebrate my birthday. When arriving the hotel looked beautiful. Once getting into the room it was beyond dated! There was scum on the shower glass, paneling ceilings with mold, the caulking around the tub was all over, and was not a great job at all. Oh, the mattress had sooooo many stains and tears on it, they do not use mattress covers, so the sheets kept coming off, that’s how I saw the mattress. The tub was very high, so if you are older with knee issues…please do not book! The tub was terrible, you couldn’t find not one channel in English, also they still had cd/dvd players. Everyday most of the activities were geared towards the children. There was no music anywhere at the pools, only at the Mantee bar, where most people were. So there was no where to sit. The food was terrible at the world cafe. The restaurants like seaside grill and himitsu was really good. All of the bell hops seemed ver sketchy, because trying to go to CoCo bongo at the Dreams Punta Cana resort and spa, I requested a taxi. The bellhop called about 10 people to get a taxi and finally a black Escalade came. Did not look like a taxi driver. Once the taxi driver open the door, he and the bell hop had conversation and the taxi driver slid the bell hop money. Once finally getting to security, they asked our room number, and again the taxi slid security money as well! If you are our taxi driver why are you sliding money to everyone, and we didn’t pay yet. The driver told us we can pay after we come back. The trip cost $120. I did not trust him so I told him to take me back, so I lost $172 because I never got to go see the coco bongo. I will never return. This hotel was built in 2005 and for it to be this way is unexceptable!

    Wish I read these reviews before booking. Dealt with a friendly and knowledgeable rep to book, everything was great.
    That is until I cancelled. Paid for the travel insurance which is non refundable so I could be paid back financially and not with travel credit. Sure, no problem that will be 30-60 BUSINESS DAYS since your money is tied up with the airline also.
    The next day I receive an email confirming my travel credit. I call back to fix the error and am assured it has been adjusted.
    At 30 business days I called to follow up and was told the request is there and I needed to wait the full time.
    At 60 business days I call to find out it was left under travel credit and they will now fix it which will take an additional 7-10 business days since the bank takes time to process.
    At 6 business days (I’m not waiting the full time again) I call to follow up and it’s now additional 14 business days. I lost it.
    They refuse to give an answer other than just wait longer. It’s always “being worked on”, and they refuse to let you speak to a manager “supervisor calls take 3-5 business days”.
    Stay away!!!!!!!!
