      I took my car in for an inspection and was advised I needed a new battery holder and front tie rods. I was told once I got it repaired to come back with receipts and pay $9.00 I took my car to a mechanic and upon his inspection he found nothing wrong with the parts on my car. I explained Jiffy Lube said they have to be replaced to pass inspection. and I would need a new battery holder as mine was dry rotted. The mechanic replaced the tie rods and battery holder. When I went back to have my 2nd sticker put on my car, I was outside, and I overheard the mechanics talking how the young man that did my inspection had been not doing the inspections correctly and they had other complaints of customer being told repairs needed to be done that were not needed. I called the corporate office, and I received a call from the district Manager. He asked if I still had the parts and could I bring them to the store. I took the parts to the store and met with the district manager. He stated that" No the tie rods did not need replaced" he also looked at the battery holder and said that it too should have passed the inspection. He stated he had wished the mechanic would have asked the store mgr. ****** to look at my car before making the decision of failing my car. As he had done something similar with another customer and he was still in training on car inspections. I paid 174.00 to have my car fixed plus my inspection. I was told by the district manager that he would send a claim and it would be about 2 weeks and I would be refunded for the repairs on my car. I received a check for $68.00 and a free oil change that expires 30 days from date of letter. I spoke with **** at the Corporate office again and to this day I am still awaiting a call back. I feel they should have to refund for the parts and labor of 174.00 that I had to pay for even though my car would have passed inspection without the unneeded repairs.

      I filed a complaint with BBB 7/9/23 I received a call from mgmnt. at Jiiffy Lube from telephone ###-###-#### while I was on vacation 7/24/23. I called this number twice on 7/25/23 unable to leave voicemail as mailbox was full, I received notification of a response on 7/28/23 as to which was informed they would just pay what they owe for the repairs I had done at ******* Diagnostic so the complaint could be closed. Today is the 20th of August more than 15 business days and I have not received the refund?

      We agreed to reimburse the customer for the repairs as soon as she sends us the invoice.  

      We have not been able to get the invoice and have left several messages.  

      We finally spoke yesterday and she is supposed to send us the invoice.

      As agreed to, we will send a check as soon as we have the paperwork.

      On 10/18/2022 $71.60 was paid to Jiffy Lube For Pa State Inspection MY AUTO is exempt from emission testing. They told me I still have to pay full price, even when they do not perform the test. I have never had to pay for emissions since owning this car the last few years. My regular mechanic is out sick, is the only reason I went to Jiffy lube. I feel I got scammed.

      When a vehicle is driven less than 5,000 miles they are only exempt from failing the PA Emissions test.  
      These vehicles still go through the State process and receive a sticker.  The exemption really only applies if a vehicle were to fail.
      We have our prices clearly marked - with special signage that is regulated by PA Department of Transportation.  These signs include a specific size lettering and all of our inspection prices are clearly labeled.  We apologize for any miscommunication but this vehicle went through the PA state process and received an Emissions Sticker.
