I just had work done by Laudenslagers and the last job they left my house filthy dirty and ***** was told he wouldn't get anymore work. One of the pipes was leaking 8/15/23 from one of his jobs and I had called him to get warranty work done. he did schedule a time to come and look at it. within a few minutes ****** one of the owners called me and told me that NO ONE is coming, because I cancelled them out and got another *******. which is true. But Laudenslagers is obligated to do the warranty work on what work that they did do in my home.before i hung up I did tell ****** that I was going to notified the BBB and sarcastically he told me that he was going to call to report me.Business Response

Good day, This is ***, I am one of the owners of E.F.Laudenslager. We do not have any ****** employed with us currently or ever for that matter, just to clear that up. I am not sure who is being referred to in the complaint. I visited with the consumer personally, as the owner, a few weeks ago with some concerns she had about work previously performed. At which point I found nothing that was an issue. It was during this time where the consumer became completely unhinged and made derogatory comments about all of my employees. The comments from the consumer were vulgar and extremely racist. She used terms such as "fat ****** *****" "dumb ***** guy" but worse, and continued on with insults. I immediately then put the consumer on the do not service list when I returned to the office and I will NEVER have one of my valued employees enter the home of someone like this. We will never return and we owe her nothing as far as I am concerned. I would be happy to explain more in court if that is consumers path. I am sorry for anyone else who will be subjected to this type of behavior. Thank you

Here is a copy of the complaints that I had typed out and a copy of this was given to go.

***up until this point of time I was always more than happy with the type of work that ***** and his men had done for me in my home. Nor did ***** or EF Laudenslager’s ever had to wait to be paid until this time. If ***** wants to honest about it he will tell the truth. Every time that work was done, they got done and it was too late for me to come down to the office to pay, but, they were paid the next morning on my way to work or on my way home from work. That is why I choose to have your company do the radiators. If I wasn’t 100% plus satisfied with the work, I sure wouldn’t keep calling ***** to do more work.
Monday morning at 9:10am my cell went off and it was ***** calling. When I answered ***** said that the men were at the house and couldn’t get in, after he knew that I couldn’t get off from work and that the key would be under the mat. I had to tell him again that the key was under the mat. I also had a note in the bag with the key for ***** and he never was at my house long enough or at all to read it.
When I came home Monday afternoon from work I found the patio lights turn on at 4:30pm. When I came into the house I also found the cellar door standing open and when I went down to shut the door, I had noticed that water had ran down the cellar floor toward the drain. Right away I thought that it had rained into the chimney and I didn’t see that it had done that. Also the steps going down to the basement were so filthy dirty along with my garage floor. I had to wash the cellar steps down 3 times till they were good enough till I could do them again on Saturday. The garage floor I had to use 4 pads on my ******* mop handle along with a jug of *** ***** for the floor and the steps. again to be good enough till Saturday to do it again
So I had called ***** quick and he told me that he would speak to the guys about cleaning up better after themselves and be more aware of these items. He also told me that he had an emergency had to leave. So apparently the guys were on their own all day with NO supervision.
I do not believe that anything was said to the guys and if he did talk to them they defied him and did as they dame well pleased. Because come Tuesday it started all over again.
Tuesday June 27, 2023
At 9:15-9:20am my cell had gone off again and when I had answered your man had stated that they had locked themselves out of my house. I had to call the neighbor 2 doors over from me to bring the spare key down so that they could get in. When I had called the guy back, some else answered the phone and when I told him that the neighbor is bringing the key down, the guy said that it wasn’t him that called me and that the guy that called left to go get gas in the vehicle and that he will be back in a while.
Then ***** had called me around 3:30 PM to tell me that the guys were starting to finish up and will be out of there soon. Needless to say they were still there when I got home at 4:40PM.
Again as I came into the side street I AGAIN NOTICED the Patio lights were turn on. As I pulled into the drive way the overhead garage door was all of the way up. I got off and started to walk up to the garage door I noticed the kitchen door was standing wide open and the cellar door was wide open and you could see that the cellar was all lite up. I flipped my cork at the color guy just standing around in the garage and all I got out of him in a cocky attitude was “I WASN’T HERE YESTERDAY”. I put my things into the house and went down stairs to turn lights out and to find the furnace was running full steam ahead. Turned all of the lights out and closed the door. Also the cement slab that the furnace stands on is also damaged and I can stand and spackle that this winter.
When I came into the house, I looked at the heat gage and they had it set at 76 and then I looked at the AC Gage and they had it at 60. I totally understand 100% that they had to turn the heat on to try the radiators, but then have enough common sense to turn it off when you know that they work and don’t turn the AC down to 60 because you have the heat turned on. It was so hot in the house so that meant that they had the heat running for a long period of time. But, when I said something to ***** Tuesday night, he informed me that it couldn’t have taken more than1 gallon at $4.00 and just a few cents for the AC electric. How stupid does he think I am. On Tuesday the guys didn’t leave until 5:33PM because they were still caring boxes from my radiators out along with other trash.
Again I had to wash the cellar steps down 3 times again and had to go over the garage floor 3 times and it wasn’t as clean as it should have been, but had to do. Again I had to go over the kitchen floor 3 times.
In the bedroom there was a spot that looked like black grease. When I had said something to ***** about that, He flipped out at me and said that the guys told him that there wasn’t anything on the carpet. I said to him “SO YOU DON”T BELIEVE ME”? he stated that he didn’t say that and he believes me and he was told to come on Wednesday and look at it and his remark was ‘I DON’T WANT TO GET YELLED AT”. Sure I might have been a little loud about things by this point of time, but, I was totally frustrated with everything that happened in those 2 days and the way I found my house when I came home. ***** never did show up to see the grease like he said finally that he would.
Then in the kitchen there is a big concern with how high the radiators seem and you see where the flooring stops and at one spot they damaged the flooring. Also, we had noticed a scratch on the floor from them moving the cabinet. Which is another concern.
***** was the one that told me that they will move the furniture that we can’t and they will put it back to where it belongs. You come along and tells me that your men DO NOT move furniture. WHO IS THE LIER?????
I am going to have to hire someone to come and shampoo my carpet and go out and buy more cleaning supplies to replace all of the things that I had to use to clean the steps, garage floor and kitchen floor and wash the cellar floor again. I was told by 2 different carpet cleaners that it would be anywhere from $350.00-400.00. and so far it has cost over $253 5o replace the supplies for cleaning and then the time that it is going to clean my cellar floor, spackle the block which I need to go and buy things for that. Then my time that will be spent to do all of this cleaning when I could go out into my field for work and earn $38-40 per hour. So I did tell ***** that I was deducting $800.00 from the bill so he did adjust my bill to that. He only wanted to give me $200.00.
Another thing is, that when I called ***** on Tuesday about all of this started right off telling him that he WILL NOT the job for the water softener, utility sink and any further work, because I was so very discussed and dissatisfied with the type of work that his men did this time along with all of the dirt that was left behind for me to clean up. After working 10-12 hours a day for 5 or 6 days a week, who feels like coming home and having to clean for 2 ½ -3 hours at night, then get 4 hours of sleep and then have to go back to work for another 10-12 shift? All I kept hearing out of ***** when I had told him that He wasn’t getting any more work out of me because of this situation, was ‘I DON’T KNOW WHAT TO SAY, ‘I DON’T KNOW WHAT TO SAY, ‘I DON’T KNOW WHAT TO SAY, ‘I DON’T KNOW WHAT TO SAY. After we saw how nice the living room looked we had decided to do the other 2 bedrooms done to match, we got a estimate for a new softener and then we also wanted a new utility sink put in the basement. But, that is all just a thought now. Because we will NOT go thru anymore of this dirty work from your men in the future.
Another thing that irritated me was, I stood Sunday night and made 16 sandwiches, got chips, cookies, soda may, mustard, ketchup, plates and napkins. When I came home Monday night, all the sandwiches where gone, which YES that is why I had them there so that the men had something to eat. They were all gone, but, you cannot tell me that they ate those sandwiches without ketchup or something on them. So that only gave ONE THOUGHT and that was that they thru them away. I meant my things well by doing that to show our appreciation of them doing such a good job in the past.
So that is why I had left the message the other day that I was informed in the past by Magistrate ******** office that you DO NOT pay the bill when there are issues until someone straightens out the issues. Like I said before, you were always paid promptly.
One last thing is finally I just told the guys to get out of my house and leave. The black guy was that pissed off at me, that he DIDN’t even wait for me to move my vehicle, that he drove wright thru my yard to get out of the driveway.
Sincerely yours

I purchased a house here in Schneckville almost 3 months ago to be rudely approached from 2 individuals attempting to take my oil tank. When I asked what they were doing on my property, they said they were here to take my tank because theyve been trying to reach out for 4 years. No one introduced themselves nor called informing me of this nor did I receive any mailings of this. I ask the individuals to speak with their manager so that I can explain the situation and asked PLEASE do not remove this tank because its FREEZING and I need it to cook. After speaking on the phone with the manager she mention that this tank was a lease and belonged to them and if I want it it would be $85 for the year not knowing this company (and I should of done more research) but this manager took my first and last name and CREDIT Card information and when I went back outside, I found my tank removed placed on there pickup trunk and the 2 Individual drove off. The manager on the phone took my name and credit card information and hung up on me. I will be reporting this company and hope my identity has not been compromised with the credit card i gave them over the phone. Extremely unprofessional, I would NOT recommend to my worse enemy.Business Response

The propane tank located on the customers property was a company owned lease tank that was set for a previous resident of the house. The house had suffered a fire and the resident that signed the lease had moved out and the house had gone through the possession of several individuals including a contractor. We had sent multiple letters to the current resident on 8/12/22, 10/19/22 and 11/15/22 to notify them that the propane tank, that was used for cooking not heat, was owned by us. We had not made a delivery to the tank since 2017. The letters asked them to contact us to set up an account and pay the $85.00 yearly tank lease that was due. After several months of no response, we dispatched 2 technicians on 2/15/23 to pick up the tank. The technicians arrived at the property, disconnected our tank and loaded it onto the truck. At that time, the current homeowner confronted our technicians, asked them what they were doing and asked them to put the tank back. The technician had the customer speak to our customer service rep at our office to explain that the tank was leased and and an $85 lease fee needed to be paid in order to reinstall the tank. The customer did provide our office staff his credit card number and before the technicians had the opportunity to take the tank off the truck, the customer began to yell at our technicians to take the tank off the truck. A loud verbal altercation followed between the office staff on the phone, the technicians, and the customer. At that point our technicians got in their truck and drove away with our tank to diffuse the situation. Our office staff never charged the customers card and immediately destroyed the customers credit card information.
We recovered our property, the tank, and we have no interest to continue a business relationship with the customer due to the interaction on 2/15/23.
