I have spoken to Cooper Mechanical (CM) several times about refunding the oil burner preventative maintenance plan we did not need, because they installed a brand new system and the oil burner was eliminated. It is going on 6 months and after many conversations, I have been told the process is at the stage of the person who cuts the checks, yet no check has ever been received.I am requesting: 1) A refund of $179.10 for the oil burner preventative maintenance plan that I did not need, since the new system Cooper Mechanical installed eliminated the oil burner system. 2) Confirmation that the 2022 AC/heat pump preventative maintenance plan was indeed pushed to 2023 in their new service system, as I was told it would be.Details:Dec 2021 - We received the yearly preventative maintenance ad from CM. The preventative maintenance plan was $199 for the oil burner and $139 for the AC/heat pump. There is a 10% discount for paying early making it $179.10 for the oil burner and $125.10 for the AC/heat pump. Check #**** for $304.20 was written to cover both services.June 29, 2022 - CM installed new HVAC system, replacing the old AC/heat pump and removing the oil burner. July - CM called to schedule AC/heat pump preventative maintenance. I told them we just had a new system installed and that there is a note in their system about pushing it to 2023. I also told them we no longer had the oil burner. The person said they would submit a request to finance to refund the oil burner portion. July 27th, my husband went through a kidney transplant surgery and I was focused on that and did not follow up on the check that was not received.Oct 5, 2022 - CM called to schedule service for the oil burner. I reminded CM they removed the oil burner and I never received the refund check. He said hed get a $179.10 refund going.I called again on Oct 20th, Oct 25th, Nov 21st and was always told the process is with the person that cuts the checks. I still have not received the refund.
