    I ordered a barn coat from Outback and it ran so small it had to be returned. Im not someone who returns unless it essential. This company required me to call customer service (with poor hours to call) and get preapproved to make the return. They required it be returned in a box, although they shipped a coat in a bag. And then they charged me a 20% restocking fee. I cant recall the last time I heard about restocking fees. 1st and last time customer due to antiquated return policies and procedures.

    DO NOT ORDER DIRECTLY FROM THE COMPANY. Their quality is really good and I have been a fan of their products for years. However, I ordered two dog coats one for my larger dog fit fine. The second coat for my small dog was too tight around the neck and didn’t fit so I ordered a size up after returning it and it was huge. For some reason they have this ridiculous policy that you can only exchange an item once where as I wanted a full refund for the second one that was unusable they refuse the refund and I am stuck with a worthless $80 dog coat.

    I purchased a $209 jacket, which I love. But I exchanged it once, and the new size is too small also (apparently they run small but this wasn’t posted on the website). I’m wanting to exchange it for one size up one more time. They refuse. They also refuse to refund it. Horrible company!! Avoid doing business with them! I’d give 0 starts if I could.

    Hello, I am sorry for this experience. We do have it written within all of the paperwork that we send out and throughout the exchange process that you can only exchange or refund once. This is a limitation of our system. We have also put sizing charts for each product on the page so you can be sure that what you are ordering is the correct size from the start. We have strived to ensure that customers can measure themselves and be sure of the size of the product they are getting.

    I own 2 items from them and both are of extreme quality. I own a oil skin vest and there deer hunter jacket. They are my favorite go to cold weather items they fit great and have lasted 2 years in extreme use. I couldn't be happier with them. I enjoy them so much I decided to buy a hat. Haven't got it yet

    I ordered an on sale item (medium size hat). Though labeled a M, it was sized as a L, if not actually an XL. Cost me $8 shipping to receive this 1 lb package. And Outback will dock me another $8 off my refund for return shipping! When I spoke with the manager, Sharon, she was 100% rigid to their return policy ($8 deduction to be applied to my refund). I have bought several products from Outback Trading Company over the years. But NEVER again!

    I bought a hat from Outback several years ago. It was also a Medium. And it fit just fine. What you sold me this time was a Large or maybe even an XL hat LABELED as a Medium. In my mind that represents a product DEFECT. And I'm charged $8 just to send it back. So essentially I have paid $15 now (shipping to me and returning to you) for nothing; Ni amount of sizing information on your website would have prevented this outrage. I will never purchase from you again. And I will spread the word far and wide about my experience with your company and your policies and unwillingness to make a situation like this right for the customer.

    I purchased a XL jacket, sent it back for an exchange for a large. At the same time I ordered another large because they only had 2 large left on their website. I did not want them to run out of stock by the time my exchange got there. I received the large that I ordered first, so I called to see if I could stop the other exchange from coming. When I called, they told me I could not. So when I received it, I sent it back and paid the postage for the return. Then 2 weeks later I receive another jacket ( same one I had already returned and now was told I could not return it. I now have 2 of the same jackets paid for both and was told to try and sell it myself. Outback sent me a 2nd exchange so it was on them not me, it was their mistake not mine. Yet they tell me that I cannot send it back and get a refund.

    I had to highlight at least 1 star in order to proceed with this review, but I'd honestly give this company 0 stars. Here's my experience with them:
    I returned a hat that was too small in the original box. My original order for the hat charged me $8 for shipping. On the return portal, it says there will be a flat-fee of $8 for the return shipping and label. Then they proceeded to deduct another $8 from my total return. So in a nutshell, they charged me (the customer) $8 to ship the hat and $16 to return the hat. When I asked to speak to the manager, Eboni told me there was no manager available even though it was 9:30 a.m. on Friday morning. BEWARE of this company's return policy as they are charging you double to return the exact same item you purchased. I will NEVER, EVER order from this company again!!
