This is not a company I work for this is a company where I rent a apartment from.I was walking my dogs. A dog from another apartment in the same Row that I live in. The dog is a vicious dog and came out the door with it teeth showing. ( this is not the first time this same dog did this to my dogs in June my daughter and grandkids was up from ***** ******** to visit and my daughter was tying my grandson shoe and the dog almost bite her in the face. My husband contacted by texting the office manager at (stonebrook at Northside crossing) and there was no return text or call back to him about it.) I call my dogs back to me so he wouldn’t bite my two dog. I had trash bag in my right hand to throw out in the dumpster for another neighbor that could take it out. It escalated because while I was walking my dogs three women jumped out of their car from the community I was gonna jump me. Come to find out it was the The dogs owners aunt and two other women but I’m not sure who they were. I walked back home and call the cops and told my husband what happened in the mean time the other tenant call the office manger and she came up to take there side because the dog own use to work for her as a maintenance man. She did nothing to stop other tenants and my husband from Arguing. I was upset and I fell because of health problems that I have. I told ***** the property manager that the maintenance man **** almost hit my dog on Friday with the mule that he drives around the property. There was another maintenance man their talking to my husband and I to keep us calm.

    Business Response

    Date: 08/04/2023

After review with the ***** *********** Police Department who responded to this event on July 26, 2023, it was deemed that both sides played equal parts in the escalation of the issues. Both sides have been issued a notice to cure through the property management side for the rules violations in causing an unsafe environment at that time. Property management is not a protection force and is not to be relied on for such. We do not guarantee the safety of the residents and we suggest using the local policing authorities when circumstances arise that become out of control. Property management cannot evict based on hearsay events and only off of verifiable evidence. This is why we reached out to the ***** *********** responding officer for a statement. The explained that they were told that the complainants spouse was "aggressive" when they arrived which resulted in a property management staff member to step in  and try to deescalate the situation before it turned worse. The recommendation from ***** *********** is for the residents to remain distant from each other when possible and that any further issues as such would result in determinations and possible charges. This incident did not lead to charges.

A formal complaint by this complainant was sent to our corporate office and a response was made with no acknowledgement of that from this complainant. The desired settlement of "bad property manager" cannot be fulfilled as the request was for our manager to intervene in a hostile moment when that is not their responsibility nor do they hold that sort of training to deescalate a situation. The other desired settlement of "contact by the business" was fulfilled upon their complaint submission to us, with no response to our requests for more information.
