Contractor was to begin work redoing as Bathroom in June and it was to take about two weeks. We were also going to add on a kitchen to existing property, in which a deposit was placed for materials. It has been 5 months and the original project (bathroom) is still not completed. Contractors tools are still at our home. Weve asked for the project to get completed numerous times, and the last time we saw him was about one month ago. There has been very little communication from him, and no return texts or phone calls to either myself or my husband. We would just like our deposit back, as promised, verbally to myself and my husband

On March 7th I sent ***** $2000 to get started on creating a custom exterior door and custom screen door for my sleeping porch. ***** also was hired to repair my main entrance doors and kitchen doors, and cut a dryer vent into my laundry room wall. I hade let ***** know that I needed these projects completed by March 29th before I moved in. ***** completed the main door repair, partially completed the kitchen door repair and cut in the laundry room vent on March 28th. I let ***** know that he had failed to complete the kitchen door repair, as the weather strip in the middle of the door was still broken, and this had been identified as a part of the repair. I also asked when the sleeping porch doors would be completed by, which he let me know on March 31st that they were in in preparation for assembly. At this time, he requested the remaining deposit, which I paid $1000 on April 8th. After this, I did not hear from ***** and I followed up with numerous calls and text messages. On April 22nd he let me know that he would come by on April 26th to install the doors. ***** did not show up on April 26th, citing that he had been at "an all hands emergency call" and would let me know when they were done. I have continued to call *****, sent him numerous text messages, and followed up via email. I have also requested a refund on Venmo. I would like $2000 returned for the unfinished work that ***** had promised.

Work was due to begin on December 29th. Payment was made at $28,000 to start the project. There was a quote for the attic to be completed along with the downstairs bathroom but he never sent it in an e-mail after continuously saying he would. He said this price would not be reached and that we would receive money back at the conclusion of the project. The contractor mentioned he has no other projects and would be able to complete the project. He mentioned getting the money in advance would expediate the process so that he had funds in hand to complete the project in full while having to buy the material. The contractor did not show up on a daily basis, and as of July was still not completed the project. The work was supposed to be completed by March at the latest. As the pictures will show he did not complete the work or do a quality job. There are many gaps around the windows, floors, ceiling and other areas, the trim has not been put up and there are wires hanging out of electrical outlets. The AC Unit was supposed to be open for the ability to access and it is presently closed off. The contractor never began the bathroom project and did zero work in that space. The contractor never supplied an update of receipts for items or anything in relation to the price.
