Purchased Powerstep XL via AmericanTrucks.com order number 175-30713530 on June 14 2024. Product listed as *********** for2024 ***** 3500 crew cab 6.6L gas truck. Paid for product, professional install, shipping and tax. On day of install, installer discovered the odb2 adopter isnt plug and play, making product useless. Called American truck and they said they didnt have the correct adopter. Three months later still no adopter or working product. Called to get a full refund and a product that works for my truck shipped to the installer at no cost to me and was told they can not do that. Currently on website it still list the product as a fit for my truck and plug and play. I want a full refund and a similar product that works for my vehicle. Product is also being sold via ************* , AMP Research manufacturer has yet to return my email or phone calls and does not sell their product directly.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because as you can see from the website description, this product is listed as having plug and play adapter. The adapter doesn’t not fit the model as stated and the company would not refund the full amount including the cost of install. The product is half installed and other half sitting at the installer shop since June 26. Seems as thought they are advertising a product that doesn’t work and making money by selling install service that the installer can’t install. Why are they still selling this product if it doesn’t work as listing on their website. If the website is correct, then they should ship another one or another similar product listed as plug and play.

I am rejecting this response because per the website, plug and play for my vehicle. Only reason I accepted the $100 refund for the adapter that did not fit my vehicle as you would not refund the installation cost. You are still selling the product as a 100% compatible product, ship a new replacement if you stand by the product. Your website clearly states vechicle match with plug and play adapter.

Additional the $100 that was refunded was because I purchased the adapter from another company and that was the cost, as they didn’t have one in stock. I have yet to receive the adapter from the other company. Full refund of the product price, install and shipping cost seems more than reasonable after waiting four month for a product that isn’t useable without the adapter.Business Response

The consumer did contact us and stated we sent the wrong item. They had ordered a C&L Proven Ground Series Rolled End Round Exhaust Tip; 3.50-Inch; that Fits 3-Inch Tailpipe. So we set up a return and an exchange operating off the information the consumer provided, that they ordered the correct part but we sent the incorrect part in error. If the consumer is not having success with the exhaust tip that was sent as a replacement it is possible they are ordering the incorrect size.
The one they ordered has the measurements of
Inlet: 3.0 Inches
Outlet: 3.5 Inches
Length: 10 InchesConnection features a universal design for use on all makes and models of vehicles equipped with a 3-inch exhaust system
We would encourage the consumer to measure for the correct fitment. They would need to measure the inlet diameter of exhaust to ensure the exhaust tip they choose matches that size.
If the replacement is not working for the consumer they may contact us to set up a return via phone or chat. They can also set up a return online. If the consumer has questions about the different exhaust tips we have available, the consumer may contact us. We would be happy to review different options based on the measurements to assist the consumer.

I am rejecting this response because:American trucks did send a replacement as I noted.
i clearly stated to the person I spoke with what I was shipped on the 1st order.
He talked like he understood the issue with the size.
i did ask him to to view the 1st order (which he did) but ship the same exact same size, but from a different company/manufacture.
the entire problem her is the size of the item, I dont understand. Its almost intentional.
I have 2 items now I cant use.
Ive paid for the 1st item and still not item that can be used.
I would prefer at this point they send return information to me prepaid and refund what I have paid.
its almost as if they are intentionally dragging this out.
i would like to be done with this company

As you can see by the photos attached
the first item on the left was a 3 exhaust tip
the second item on the right is also a 3 exhaust tip.
The company sent the same size item when I clearly stated the first item was the wrong size and they sent the same size anyway Im not sure what part they did not understand

I received a $20 voucher which I stated I did not want, I wanted the rim to be expedited which I was told it would be! I waited an entire week to get the rim. In the email I received from them it clearly stated something different than what I was told, I was told it would be expedited then I was informed that once I returned that rim via ***** and the item was scanned then they would issue out my product immediately this didn't happen. I have stated and proved numerous times how this establishment has been unprofessional and shipped me damaged products, defective packaging and wrong items.

I purchased a set of running boards from American Trucks. When the running boards arrived, I paid a company to install them. The cost to install was $200.00, the running boards cost $200.00. a pair of the slider brackets that attach the running board to the truck was missing. There should have been 6, there were only 4. I contacted American Truks VIA phone and was asked to take photos of the missing part. I photographed the items that I had, on the truck and sent them the pictures. I was told the part would be in the mail, Sept 11, 2024. I then received an email saying they did not have that part, and would give me a credit or refund of UP TO $50.00 if i bought the part somewhere else. the other option was to remove the running boards and return them. American Trucks is currently selling the same running board i purchased, therefore they have access to the missing part. I have emailed back and forth now, twice with them. There position is that since I installed the running boards, they are not required to do anything, BUT are making a concession and will allow me to return them. I would still be out the cost of installation, which is the same price as the board themselves. I paid more these boards from American Truck thinking the customer service would be better, I regret that choice.Business Response

The company advertised no drill fender flares for a truck , I received dilled fender flares which would require me to drill holes in my fenders , the company could not provide me with information on weather or not they were drill or no drill , but they advertised no drill. I received 4 flares and a bag of mismatched hardware with absolutely no instructions ( which would have clarified they were drilled flares) and not what I had ordered. Company got all pictures and **** requested and waisted more of my time than a return was worth . They false advertised and waisted more of my time than the flares were worth. They offered to have me return them but I'm already at the point of no return , I would get more satisfaction by burning the flares and filing a formal complaint against them for false advertising a product. Something must not have worked with my response link . I'm not totally dissatisfied with American trucks , they at least made an attempt and sent me more of the same hardware that came in the box as a gesture to rectify the situation. The hardware does me no good and their add for no drill flares is still up . I was extremely mad at the fact that they could not give me an answer as to wether or not it was missing parts or labeled incorrectly on their part. I know now for 100% that their add is wrong. I will call tomorrow and see if I can't get these sent back and the correct flares sent to me. On August *******, I placed an order with American Trucks for a RedRock Steering Wheel Trim order #**-32400143. Previously I ordered the same item for my 2023 Ram 1500 a friend of mine was impressed with this item and wanted one for his birthday. When the item was received we found out this item did not fit Steering wheels for the 2018 Ram 1500 ??. I requested a return label or a replacement but none was available in stock that color. I was highly disappointed when founded out that there would a $10.00 prepaid return fee for my order. Reducing my original refund even though no verbiage was printed on the the app regarding return fees. The first ***** could not explain this transaction. I ordered a bumper on the americantrucks website. I never received delivery. I have called and spoken with the several times and chatted. The first time there was no proof of delivery. Now after a week of arguing with them it shows that it was delivered on 7/26. Either way I did not receive. I knew when it was supposed to be delivered I stayed home to make sure i was there and it never came. Now they are telling me to get a refund or a new one shipped I have to get a police report because it was stolen. Why do I have to do the work? It wasn't stolen, I was home it didn't come. They delivered it to the wrong address. They can't provide me with a picture of delivery or a signature. They keep telling me i have to do this or i have to do that. What happened to customer service? You can't even contact this freight company i have tried. I just want my bumper or my money back. Seriously i am a young man and this is my first large purchase and this is how it turns out. I feel like they are taking advantage of me. The order has been fraught with issues, despite being a straightforward transaction involving the purchase of a single item. Instead of receiving a new product complete with all accessories, I was sent a used scanner inadequately wrapped in bubble wrap, lacking the original box, manual, and necessary accessories. Following a call to American Trucks and the submission of photographic evidence of the received item, I received two separate packages: one containing the *** cable and the other the manual, yet the *** cable required for computer connection was still missing. After another inquiry, I was informed that the shipment of the *** cable had been canceled due to my failure to provide additional pictures, despite having already submitted the necessary images. The representative offered to reorder the cable but insisted on receiving the same pictures again. I declined to proceed with the order and requested to speak with a supervisor, only to be told that none were available and that I would receive a callback within ***** hours. At this juncture, I feel that American Trucks does not regard me as a valued customer, nor do they seem concerned about the quality of their shipments or the resolution of ongoing issues. While I will await the supervisor's response, I believe it may be best to return the product, as I am unwilling to endure further delays in what should have been a simple transaction.Business Response
