    On 8/23/2023 I scheduled my first Preventative *********** (sorry, TMI) this is covered 100% as preventative. The purpose is to ensure good health and remove anything that could be precancerous, which is the definition of preventative (if you're trying to prevent cancer). During this procedure, anesthesia is involved. No more anesthesia is required to remove any findings as I'm already sedated. Ultracare Anesthesiologists decided to bill me for the Doctor and the sedation? When I called, they advised that since they removed a precancerous finding (still preventative) they changed the bill code to diagnostic and were then able to bill me for 2 charges. I asked they waive the charge. They said no.
    How preposterous and despicable is this business practice to bill a preventative service. How are they even allowed. I went to the insurance company and they advised I needed to go to provider and resubmit the claim as preventative. They said no. Right now I owe $252.00 for bill # *********. I want this waived as preventative care. How do they expect anyone to go in for screenings if they are allowed to change the bill codes. I have not reviewed this company on BBB. Depending on the outcome of my request will determine what my review is.
    Please do the right thing and request they waive these charges.

    UltraCare Anesthesia Partners, LLC is in receipt of this letter and is taking the necessary steps to help the customer resolve this issue.  The customer has been made aware of our intent to resolve this issue, to the best of our ability, with the insurance company and has been given a direct number to call UltraCare Anesthesia Partners for any future inquiries.

    I am rejecting this response because: There are 2 bills for the same charge, one EOB is being reviewed the other is not.  I want both of them covered or waived and a letter to confirm these charges have been paid or waived.  

    I do not have a contact number  except for the billing team who chose not to help.  The woman who called was very helpful but I do not have her number.

    Thank you, I look forward to resolving double charges for the same preventative procedure.
