      I purchased a dress from Free People and was sent the wrong item - a beach cover up instead if a sweater dress. I contacted customer service and received a refund. Then a few days ago I was charged AGAIN. Customer service was no help. I am not going out of my way to return an item that was shipped incorrectly nor am I legally obligated to do so. I was left to dispute the charge with my CC company. I’m now restricted and cannot purchase from any of their brands online, my order from Anthro keeps getting cancelled. I contacted customer service again and was promised a follow up email. I’ve received nothing.

      Free People has to have the worst customer service I have ever dealt with. I’m not sure if they are just extremely inefficient and disorganized or if they are trying to take advantage of people? During the Black Friday, I wanted to order something that was labeled as 50% off but was full price at checkout. Customer service said to pay the full amount and they would refund me the 50% within 24-48 hours. For two months, I have contacted them weekly and still haven’t received the refund. A second item I ordered arrived damaged. They said to return the damaged item for a refund. Since then, I have contacted them three times and have not received a return address or a label. Rather than a general customer service email address, each inquiry gets a response from a different individual person, and then they never reply again.

      Twice I have ordered packages from Free People. The first time the package arrived to the pickup point and I was never contacted - when I reached out, the package was on its way back to Free People. The second time, the package was lost and I did not hear from Free People at all to let me know they were checking on the status. The company offered no easy steps to remedy and fulfill my order. I would rather buy from other businesses going forward.
