    I verbally cancelled by account in I believe early Fall 2023. Initially I spoke with the front desk letting know. The club kept sending me bills stating I owed them money which I did not because my membership was confirmed cancelled. I called and spoke to ***** who reviewed my account info, confirmed I did have a referral. He asked why I was leaving the club, and then cancelled my account saying that if I ever were interested to reach back out. That was the end of discussion, account closed no bill. I started receiving mail again and called & spoke to *******. I spoke with ******* stating I already cancelled membership. She then states she has to check with ***** who never responded to my email, voice message, or calls. I called again in which ******* had a nasty atitude & said the "account" was sent to collections, after they have been ignoring my communications and refused to cancel my account against my numerous demands to do so. I Suspect of faulty and unethical business practices. I am requesting confirmation that my account/membership is closed and no more communication as I do now owe anything, which was confirmed already in 2023.

    We received a call from the complainant, ***************************** in October of 2023 after several communications from our team regarding a past due balance on her membership account. When speaking with her she mentioned she had called the club about resigning her membership account. I noted to her that per the membership contract she signed there is a 30-day written notice requirement for membership cancellation. In addition, she would be charged an early resignation penalty for resigning within one year of membership. After a lengthy conversation, we offered to waive one months dues while she determined whether she wanted to keep her membership or not. In addition she had referred a member which entitled her to one months waived dues and she was disputing whether or not she received that benefit.

    We did not at any time receive any additional communication from her, until she received the next statement notice. 

    In February of 2023, we made concession on her account and mutually agreed upon an amount that would be paid to satisfy the outstanding balance. We have not yet received that reduced amount that was agreed upon by ***************.
