    I went into the store to purchase a *********. Its advertised on the packaging $1.29. She tried to charge me $1.75, at which i asked her why if it says $1.29. She catches an attitude and gets very defensive. She then holds the product in my face and says “it says $1.29 plus tax, its 1.75.” To which i asked if i offered her because i didnt respect the way i was being talked to. Considering the fact that she needs us (the community) to keep her lights on. She and i get in an argument and she banned me from the store. Because i asked where my money was being spent. I would like a compensation and her business to be shut down.

    To Whom It May Concern,

    This letter shall serve as a formal response to the complaint issued to my business, Eddie Nuñez Inc.

    Please note that things did not occur as they were detailed in the complaint. The individual who submitted the complaint has been a client since she was a young child and attempted to purchase tobacco products at our business when she was not on age, which we refused to do various times.

    During the incident detailed this individual was of age and but did not have her ID with her.

    She requested a tobacco product that comes pre-marked with the purchase price of $1.39. When I told her the price, she insisted that the product be sold to her for $0.99, as she indicated that this was the price elsewhere. I told her that the product is sold at the price printed to that package and can't be sold without ID, and she reacted in a rude threating manner. In her outrage she went to get her grandma, who tried to mediate while she continued to lash out and make threats. I never refused to service her, but I asked her grandma to please tell her to wait outside if she was going to continue to act in a manner for safety reasons.

    We are a local business that has served the community for over 10 years and have never had an issue. We implement the tobacco regulations without the support of the lawmakers of or city backing us up. We have to deal with people who are upset and treat us poorly because we follow the rules. 

    They want their tobacco products regardless of the laws that must be followed. I never overcharge her, but I did change her the price on the package because I have to make a profit on the products I purchase like every other retailer.

    I am rejecting this response because:



    The things said in the response were completely false. Firstly they said i came in without an id, in which my id was never the matter in this situation. We never got to that point in the transaction to where my id was needed. Secondly, the original problem was the fact that she lied about her prices then got mad when i questioned her. Then started makes disrespectful comments about my financial situation. Her lie was “the product was 1.29, plus tax.” On the packaging of the product it doesn’t say that. And she cant change the prices on items where she sees fit. My family in the neighborhood has this same issue with her. In the pictures i added onto this message you can clearly see no where on the item does it say “plus tax.” So now im confused as to why she still is saying anything about my id. When that was never the issue.  For this blatant lie, i expect some sort compensation.
