I purchased two vip tickets to the * *** ******* festive in Mystic Falls back in April 2023. November 10th, 2023 I asked for a refund due to not having the money to go anymore. They issued the refund to the card that was used to purchase the tickets. That account has since been closed due to it having a negative balance. It was a charged off account. The account, *****, is saying they don't see a refund, they don't even see where ticketleap has attempted to refund on their end and they don't accept refunds if the account is charged off. Ticketleap is saying they cant do anything because the refund shows it was sucessful but it in fact isn't. Because the money is no where to be found. Can ticketleap not refund to a new card or send a check for the refund. Instead of saying they successfully refunded to a closed account when ***** is saying they see where they have tried to refund at all.

I bought online tickets, which they accepted payment for and generated tickets for which were even able to be added to my ***** Wallet. I just wanted to be sure the tickets were real as I noticed a typo within the ticket after further speculation, and emailed support to ask if they could verify the legitimacy of the ticket. Support told me that it was a scam and that the original seller had violated their terms and services, and that I need to talk to the event sponsor (their customer).Their customer is unable to be reached. The only advice this company was able to provide was to file a dispute with my credit card company, but the payment was made through a debit card which is more difficult to dispute, which is my fault. If the company is aware that someone is abusing their terms and services and admits they do not allow reselling of tickets on their website, why was it possible for someone to use their website for this exact purpose right under their nose with no consequences? I would like this company to take responsibilty and retrieve the $900 I was scammed through their customer/platform user.

    Business Response

    Date: 09/15/2022

The event page was flagged as fraudulent and deleted. Tickets were not purchased using Ticketleap's merchant processor. Any transfer of funds was done outside of Ticketleap's system after communication took place off of Ticketleap's platform. Recourse must be taken up with the financial system which processed the funds.

I am rejecting this response because:

the company is still not accepting fault for allowing scammers on their olatform to create and list tickets, engaging in the sale of fraudulent tickets. I understand the account that made the posting is now deleted, however, it does nothing to resolve the fact that I was scammed out of $900 due to a listing they allowed to their platform.
