I contacted both the General Manager, *** *******, of this location twice via email in addition to their national headquarters. This was in relation to paying to bowl at their establishment on August 25th, contacting them on the 26th (in addition to in-person), and receiving no response.I paid for an hour of bowling with a small group of people only to discover the lane we were bowling on was broken. We contacted service, and they told us we could continue to bowl or switch lanes to a "less broken, but still somewhat broken" machine. We decided to simply play the remaining ***** minutes rather than go through the hassle of switching, but after it broke to the point of needing repair twice more (10 minutes later) we decided to simply ask for a refund. The employee stated that she could not give us a refund because we were given the option to switch lanes. When I explained that the service employee said the other lanes were also somewhat broken, and the people in line behind me also were there because of a broken bowling lane, she said I was incorrect. She gave me the card of *** ******* to contact and could only give me vouchers for a free round (worth less than the time slot we paid for) and I did not want to argue with her, so I took the vouchers and told her I would email. I do not live in ************ so the vouchers are of little/no value to me. I have now emailed multiple times and contacted their headquarters and received no response. I simply want a refund for the defective experience they sold me, willingly, and then lied about afterward.

On December 31, 2022, while on vacation a group of friends and I went to Round One Bowling in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in the hopes of ringing in the new year. The experience took a sharp decline when we realized the bar was closed and there was only one person working in the food area- fine, we could manage. We were able to grab some drinks and snacks from the almost empty vending machine, which tells me this is a reoccurring problem here. Nonetheless we were purchased a pool table as the attendant said the wait for lanes would be about 2 hours (it was around 830pm). While playing a game, our cue ball was stolen by another guest and we were told there were no replacement balls….so we were unable to continue playing the game we paid for. We waited around until bowling became available, which did not calculate the score correctly, did not lay pins out correctly, and shut off unexpectedly. We asked for a manager several times to no avail to find some assistance for our lanes etc. We ended up leaving around 11 pm, as we hated our time there. Again being told there was no manager we were unable to get a refund that evening. I called about 10 times in January, and was told there was only a manager available twice. I spoke with the manager *** who told me I should have been told about the “********* malfunctions” that evening, and offered vouchers for another visit. That did not happen. *** said he would reach out to the district leader for a resolution to the problem, and he has since not returned my calls or contacted me in any way. We spent about $200 on the worst bowling experience I've ever participated in.
