I delivered food here today. I was instructed to place the delivery on the shelves labeled “food delivery” by a nice young lady. I’d also like to mention that this young lady was the only one out of the entire staff at the front desk who assisted me with helping a senior in a wheel chair who got stuck at their front door. Once I placed all the bags and boxes on the shelves this older, heavier set, front desk lady told me I had to now put them all on one of their hotel carts. The bell boy told me he would “help me (do his job) if I like” I told her that i was told to put them on the shelves labeled “food deliveries” and the employee who told me this did stick up for me but she was quickly cut off and disregarded by this heavier set lady who continued to insist I do a job that is not mine, I do not get paid to do and not to mention they have a bellboy already to do this job. The customer who I was delivering for came downstairs and this lady who was now hovering over me and going on and on while I was trying to scan the delivery barcode, she then yelled at my customer and their resident “When you get a food delivery, you tell them they have to put it on one of these carts” my customer said “okay no problem”. The only problem is Uber eats delivery drivers get paid to deliver the food, whatever system the hotel has in place to move these deliveries to a room has nothing to do with Uber eats drivers due to safety and timely deliveries. I asked the lady for her name in which she refused to give me and asked me “for what”. I told her i was going to file a complaint and one of the other staff members said “we’re all management here” so not only did management witness this behavior and not put a stop to it, they felt like they were not wrong. When I brought in my second delivery, the young lady that said “we’re all management here” was just staring me down the entire time. I couldn’t believe this experience and the fact that someone actually hired people who behave this way.
