    I had a colonoscopy done at Albert Einstein Medical center in summer of 2022. I paid off the total balance in increments over a few months. The last bill I paid off was for $180.54 in January of 2023 which I thought was my last bill. At the end of March, I get a call from someone at Einstein medical center saying that i been incorrectly charged and was getting a refund from my insurance for the amount of $180.54. I never received another bill from Einstein after this call, not a single letter in the mail. Over six months later, I get a bill from a debt collection agency saying I owe $180.54 to Einstein medical. When I called Einstein, I was told there was no explanation for why this charge was never billed to my home, why I was never made aware of it, or why it had been sent to a collection agency. I got no explanation or apology. When i called the collection agency, I was told it was most likely a clerical error on their part but that I would have to pay it. This was a terrible medical experience that has dragged on over a year with little to no care from the medical center.

    I have been trying to rectify a bill from Einstein Healthcare since I received my first bill on 11/18/22. I was told by my then Insurance company that Einstein was in network. I then called Einstein with an IPN number and they confirmed that they were in network. I had my mammogram on 10/5/22. I received a bill dated 11/18/22 for $156.75 I called on 11/28/22 spoke to *********, said I would receive a call back, I never did. Next bill dated 12/19/22, I called on 1/3/23 and spoke to *******. She said a supervisor would call me back. They never did. My next bill dated 1/17/23, I called and spoke to ****** on 2/8/23. Said a supervisor would call me back. They never did. In between all of the calls that I've logged, I called many times only to get a recording, leave a message and have no one call me back. Everytime I called and spoke to someone, they would say the same thing. A supervisor has to speak with you and I would receive acll back in 24-48 hours. On 3/22/23 I called and spoke ***** who told me they did not have the call prior to my mammogram in which I was told they were in network logged in my notes, but that they can go back and find it. Said someone would call me back. They didn't, so I called and spoke to someone named ***** on 3/27 who said she has never even heard of ***** and no call was ever logged from me just 5 days prior. She tried to reach a supervisor but could not, but said that she would email them with all of the details and someone would get back to me... OH AND BY THE WAY YOUR ACCOUNT IS NOW IN COLLECTIONS. Again, no phone call back. I called again today, spoke to ******* who said after another 40 minutes on the phone that she finally found me a supervisor to speak to. I could hear someone breathing on the other end of the phone, I kept saying hello,and then that person hung up on me. My last call was to ******, who told me that a supervisor would have to get back to me. I told her I was calling you. Please HELP ME resolve this. Thank you.
