    I am a consumer of services and made an appointment at this business . I needed annual eye exam. I paid for an exam and they founded a condition. Dry eyes , I was given an OTC product ******* ******* and informed that I need to use this product 4 times a day. The product cost approximately $13 at **** ****. I was informed that I could get the generic brand on my insurance Dr. ********************* refused to provide patient centered division care. I explained that it was a hardship purchasing this medication. Eye Institute and their staff refused to comply my request.

    Dear The Better Business Bureau Representative:

    Thank you for the opportunity to review and respond to the patient complaint. After carefully reviewing the patients' file with Dr. ***** (the provider in question) and including clinical leaders, we have determined Dr. ***** followed the appropriate plan of care. For most asymptomatic dry eye patients, they are given a name of OTC (over the counter) eye drops that can be purchased at their convenience. Dr. ***** went a step further and provided samples along with coupons to assist with the OTC eye drops purchase.
    If the patient had contacted Dr. ***** from the initial visit on 11/10/2023, Dr. ***** would have happily discussed other options. However, this complaint is the first he has heard from the patient and the patients' frustration.

    We at The Eye Institute strive to provide every patient with the utmost care and courtesy. Please let me know if you have any additional questions and/or comments.
