On 3/3/2023 I bought a few items totaling $17.80. I used my debit card. The store charges for bags. Before the transaction was completed. I asked the cashier to charge me for a bag. I already rang it up. He said I will just void this & ring everything up all over. I said do not do that because the same amount will come out of my account twice. I will have to wait 5-7 business days for a refund. He stared very nonchalantly I already voided it. I called my bank they said he did not void it he put it through. Call back on 3/7/2023. If its not pending he actually charged me. Well in 3/7/2023 I found out for sure that I was charged. I asked him for a receipt proving that he voided it. He refused. In fact the register is rigged so that as the cashier rings up the items. The display will not show them. Or a total. They never give receipts unless asked. The cashier dismissed me & insisted that he voided the transaction. Even after I showed him proof that he did not. He was very rude & and has poor customer service skills.

To Whom it may concern at BBB

I ***** **** am the director of finance for Pharmacy of America and I talked to the front end cashier and he said she was not charged twice when he voided the transaction he tried explaining that it will show as pending but will not withdraw any money from your card.  She called back a few days later and he told her if your card was charged bring the statement and we will refund you.  We printed the report and her card was only charged once.  I will send the report.

    Thank you!

     Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:
The business told me that he checked all the receipts for that whole day. He said he could not find my transaction or any transaction in the amount of my purchase. I told him the money was taken out of my account , and I had my statement. Now he is saying the money was only taken out once. That is my issue. I know the money was taken out. But I was not allowed to receive the items that I paid for. The cashier kept my items. Saying that I was not charged. I never received the merchandise that I paid for totaling $17.80. Now that I’ve contacted the BBB the store has found my transaction. So either give me the items that I have paid for or my money back. The cashier was very rude & dismissive. Very unprofessional.

******** ****** received her refund of $17.80 on 4/6/23 at 3:48 pm in cash.  So if she still claims she was charged twice we will need proving bank statements.

    Thank you BBB
