My experience at VEG was horrible and it cost my dog her life.

The veterinarians are responsible for service and administration duties, thus in an emergency the focus is on getting the billing taken care of first. This is not a bad thing unless the vet is not answering your questions about the treatment because they are focusing on getting you estimates and securing payment before they do or tell you anything.

The vet working on my dog never told me the diagnosis. She just repeated that my dog was really sick, there was a 50/50 chance of survival and if I took her someplace else she would not survive the move.

I kept asking what was wrong with the dog. The vet never answered me. I paid for ICU then was told the monitoring equipment was faulty. When I said I didn’t trust the information I am being given, the vet told if I didn’t trust her, I could take my dog someplace else and smirked.

Exactly 24 hours from the time I brought her through their doors, my dog was dead. I was told my dog had sepsis by the morning vet when I went to see her body. We had arrived at 8 am, she was tested by 8:30a but nothing was done for her until almost 3pm. It is customary treatment in sepsis cases to administer antibiotics immediately upon diagnosis. This was not done for my dog.

The medical director called, apologized and asked how she could make this right. I told her I want my dog back. She said she wish she could, but kept asking “how can we make this right.” Finally I said give me back my money. She stopped asking how she could make this right. I hung up.
