When I picked up my '84 F150, I expressed my frustration that after 6 weeks and over $1200 my vehicle was properly repaired. **** stated that he has been viewing You Tube videos on how to adjust the carburetor and set the idle properly, and asked another mechanic to assist you but he was not readily available. At that time I stated that I should be refunded the funds paid since my truck was still not running properly. Since the vehicle was not repairs I stated that I was going to another mechanic. At the recommendation of the local **** dealer I took my vehicle to a mechanic with over 40 years of experience working on **** Trucks. An inspection of the vehicle the following issues were found related to ********'s attempt to repair the vehicle.1. The wrong Carburetor was installed. Carburetor installed was for an F-150 with an automatic transmission and air conditioning system. My vehicle is a F-150 with a manual transmission and does not have air conditioning; therefore the vehicle could not function properly.2. The Choke ************** was broken, therefore the connection could not be made properly thereby not allowing the choke to function properly. The choke cap needed to be replaced to allow the carburetor to function properly.3. The Vacuum Hoses were not properly reinstalled IAW the illustration on the radiator support.4. The Distributor was frozen and needed to be pried out of the block and the bore cleaned and a new O ring installed to allow the engine to be tuned.5. The intake manifold needed to be removed to fix a leak caused by the intake manifold not being installed properly causing the front gasket to be crushed (it was covered with silicone to make a seal) and the rear gasket was pushed out of place and therefore causing the oil leak. It is presumed that since the distributor was not removed prior to removing the intake manifold. If the manifold was reinstalled with the distributor in place the gaskets would not seal properly
