    My son had oral surgery last month. I paid over $1600 between his medical and dental charges. Yesterday, I received a bill for $572.61 with no specific explanation of charges, aside from "***** INTRAORAL PROCEDURES NOS". I called the company to ask for an itemized bill and they said they cannot provide an itemized bill. I want to ensure this is something I haven't already paid for.

    BPW was the anesthesia provider for a medical procedure I had in August 2022. I received an invoice from them in September 2022. My Insurance EOB indicated I owed the amount they invoiced me so I paid it immediately. Within a few days the insurance issued another EOB indicating they paid the invoice and I was not responsible for the payment. Since I had already paid it, I contacted them for a Refund on 9/26/22. I was told it would take 60-90 days for the refund to appear on my credit card. It is now 1-10-23 and I have not received the refund. I have called several times and continue to get the run around from them. I have requested a supervisor twice and I am told they are "busy" and will call me back and they never do.

    I wanted to respond in regard to this id#.
     
    We have refunded the patients credit card on  1/12/2023. The report that this was showing up on was not reporting back to anyone on our billing team. The client notified us and we refunded the patient the day we were notified.

    I will start by saying that Yes, they did eventually credit my credit card for the amount in question but I reject their notion that it was done as soon as the matter was brought to their attention.  It took almost 4 months to be resolved and several phone calls with their customer service reps.  I finally requested my calls be elevated to a supervisor and twice I was told they were too busy to speak with me but someone would call me back but no one ever did.  Only after I threatened to contact an attorney and filed this BBB complaint did I receive a phone call and the credit.
