I paid $31.80 for a sightseeing cruise with Gateway Clipper Fleet. I took the cruise on 10/25/24 at 5:00 p.m. I wanted to sit on the top deck of the boat, and was able to find a seat there. After finding my seat, I learned that the cruise was hosting a company event. Members of this event talked the entire cruise making it so loud that I could not hear the narrator. I asked that he make an announcement asking people to not talk out of respect for other paying guests who wanted to hear the narrator. He refused to do so. I missed a majority of what the narrator was saying. I spoke to him after the cruise and he told me he didn't feel comfortable making an announcement because he didn't want people getting mad at him. I spoke to a manager at the company and he told me he would not refund my money due to company policy. He offered me gift certificates, but I live out of state so those are useless to me. I paid to hear the narrator and did not hear him. I did not receive what I paid for. I did not get what the Gateway Clipper advertises and states on it's website. This is a breach of contract. For the reasons stated, I would like a refund in the amount of $31.80.

On 7/16/24 I made reservations for my husband and I to go on a cruise scheduled for Aug. 23,******* was our 39th Anniversary and since the Gateway Clipper is where he proposed to be over 40 years ago it was to be a special time for us to celebrate. We contacted The Gateway Clipper on Aug 22. We were away in **** and my husband contracted covid and was diagnosed also with pneumonia. We were told that because of it being a infectious sickness that they appreciated us not coming and we would be able to get a gift card to use at a later time. Since that initial call I have reached out and spoke with several customer service **** and supervisors who said they were going to expedite my issue to the main office and even was going to send an e-mail to the owner. I in total contacted them 9 times with no resolution. I called today which was my final attempt at trying to get a gift card but now I am asking for my money to be returned to me. It really makes me sad that I am being treated so badly and getting the run around. we have gone on quite a few cruises but after this we will not be using them again.
