      5/7/24- I received consultation from the dental practice. Pictures and images of my entire mouth were taken. I was estimated a bill of $5,500 for composite fillings and a bite splint. The provider told me that insurance would not cover this. I signed the Care Credit agreement for that amount. I was not aware that the provider would immediately be paid the full amount of $5,500 as the contract says that payment would be due at the time of service. I was told that multiple services would be needed to complete this, as the goal was to reshape my bite. I received only one service since I signed the contract, and my insurance was billed for that service in the amount of $2,400 (invoice provided). I have not been back since the only service received was on 5/16/2024. I have tried to contact the provider as they were not able to see me again for a month and a half. Feeling uncomfortable with the service, and per the contract that I could terminate anytime, I contacted the merchant, and they gave me the run around about why I was charged $5,500 when the service I received has been paid for by my insurance company (which they should not have charged). My teeth are still loose, and the completion of any further service was not rendered.Synchrony bank is fighting my dispute, even though I sent proof of documentation. The provider double dipped, and I imagine phantom billed for services not rendered. I need assistance to get out of the contract that was not honored or upheld.
