    My wife's full length fox fur was converted and the slats were taken by the store. We had a time getting them to start the work two years it took. In the last year we learned the coat was completed. My wife called several times and was told not to pay until the coat was completed. We paid and the coat sent for sale in ** was returned. At the point ** came down twice the first time was to see the coat, we then alerted the store the slats and wrap were missing. Those were going and returned m. We later asked for the coat to be sized up, the coat and the coat was sent to ** again and we then stopped that order as the change was no longer required. When we picked up the coat and wrap the slats were no longer there. We're asked for the slats but we're told then never returned the first time. That was not true. We've tried several times to work with the store without success

    To whom it may concern,

    Here is the history of Mr. ***** transactions with our store (**** Herrmann Furs). In June of 2018, the ***** asked us to store a blue fox coat, a blue fox headband and to clean the coat for $174.00. At which time we were given a deposit of $50.00. In November of the same year, the Weemsasked us to shorten the blue fox coat approximately 6. This charge was $350.00.We put the coat back into storage when the work was completed. In February of 2019, we wrote the coat up for a years worth of storage. In August of 2019, we received another payment of $50.00. The coat never left for the winter season of 2019/2020. The coat was rewritten for storage in February of 2020, again in 2021, again in 2022. In February of 2023 after the ***** would have received 55 monthly statements, we sent a certified letter stating our intention would be to sell the coat to recoup some portion of the $672.00 worth of charges that had not been paid. Ten months later, Mr. ***** shows up to pick up the ******* which point in time we had sold the coat to a second-hand dealer out of ******** in a parcel that contained ten or twelve other coats. At that time I told Mr. ***** I would try to recover his wife's coat. By luck, the dealer still had the coat with the headband still pinned around the hanger. The extra fur from the hem (slats) was nowhere to be found. I purchased the coat back for the approximate $200.00 the dealer had given me in exchange for the fox coat. I feel very fortunate to have been able to get the ***** coat back. The fact that the hem piece (slats) is missing at this point in time is unfortunate, but sadly the ***** are not appreciative of the efforts that we have gone through to get their coat back. The missing hem piece (slats) has no value at this time. The ***** did finally pay their balance of $672.00 on December 16th of 2023. At that time, we were asked to try to make the coat 3 to 4 sizes larger. I checked into options in terms of adding fur or building the coat bigger. Before I had a solid suggestion, Mr. ***** called our store to tell us the resizing would not be necessary. Sometime soon after, Mr. ***** picked up his wifes blue fox coat and headband. Again, he asked about the hem piece (slats). At which time, one of my employees reminded him that it never came back from ******** when we retrieved his wifes coat and headband. I had already asked the dealer several times if he had any luck locating it. Since it was of no value or useable, he assured me they discarded it at some point in time before our request to buy it back.
