I would like to file a complaint against Legend Structures LLC. I am selling my home and I wanted to do some touchup painting work before photos are taken. I asked the owner of Legend Structures,LLC, ********, for an estimate and he quoted me $890. I told him that that was out of budget and, I would be willing to pay $700. He agreed to do the work for that amount which entailed some touch up, repair in four areas where wall hangings were taken down and repair/painting of a door that my dog damaged. A couple of days into the job, after ******** did baseboard work, which was not a priority, he told me that he could not do the job for $700 and would need to charge me more for paint. I told him if that were the case I would have hired someone else, however, I did agreed to pay up to $100 more, but he would not accept that and sent me a bill for over $500 only for doing the baseboards. None of the other workprioritized work was completed and the home is not prepared for photographs. I have been out of town most of the time. I feel that this very much was a situation of bait and switch and he is threatening action against me if I dont pay the $500, although he did not do the work for the sum that we agreed to do and in fact did not do the work except for baseboards which was certainly not a priority for pictures. I have several photos of the work that was requested that was not completed or embark ******* addition, The painter plays two guitars on an antique chest, broke a chair, and since I am preparing to move, I have several boxes with glass marked fragile and do not stack what she stacked. I have not opened them yet because the moving truck was coming within two days of this occurring,
