    Gas furnace gas valve went out on furnace on 02/18/2023 White Heating charged $655.35 for the part. The part is readily available and in stock at local supply’s retailers and warehouses. The valve at highest price is $194.00 my cost. Most online locations it cost approximately $100.00. Due to it being weekend i expected to pay slightly higher cost for service call and labor. However i was price gouged and want my money back. I have no problem paying fair market cost. Further once finished technician then attempted to claim the c02 levels were slightly elevated and he was advised by his boss over the phone to shut my furnace back off and fix an exhaust problem. The furnace and exhaust was replaced in 2014 due to c02 problems. Since then i have had c02 detectors throughout the house and one next to furnace. All were replaced every 2 years regardless, and were just replaced in 11/22. They have never gone off. I feel they were trying to take advantage of me. My resolution is i demand to be reimbursed for the cost of the valve they gouged me for. I would like a refund of at least $500.00 I will contact the AG office and report the price gouging.

    *** *** contacted White Heating and inquired about a furnace issue that was diagnosed by another hvac contractor. We researched the part in question, quoted the price for the repair as well as the weekend rates and the customer agreed to proceed with the repair. We dispatched the service technician and made the repair. As a part of our normal procedures we discovered a safety issue with the customers furnace that we did not install. As a licensed contractor we are obligated to make the customer aware of an unsafe situation. We did so and the customer became belligerent and accusatory. White Heating stands behind our service and will remove the part that we installed and refund any payment in full.

    I wanted to proactively notify the BBB that we removed the part that the consumer agreed to purchase on Friday, February 24th at 5:00pm, which was the time and day requested by the consumer and refunded his payment in full.
