    I had a very frustrating experience with Elizur Corporation that I feel other veterans and patients should be aware of.I visited an urgent care facility using my VA healthcare benefits, and during the visit, I was given a basic wrist/hand splint. The splint was handed to me as part of the visit, no one explained that it was coming from a third-party provider or that I might be billed for it.Later, I received a bill from Elizur for $187.47 for this simple device, despite having no other insurance and clearly using VA-authorized urgent care. I had also signed a "Medical Necessity" form at the time, which I now believe was used to justify billing me directly.When I reached out, I learned that Elizur either did not bill the VA or expected me to pay upfront, despite this being clearly part of a VA-covered visit. This kind of surprise billing should not happen, especially to veterans using government healthcare they've earned.I strongly urge others, especially veterans, to ask questions before accepting any equipment from a provider working with Elizur. In my opinion, this is predatory billing, and I hope they reconsider their practices or improve their communication with patients and the VA.
