    Business Response

    Date: 04/18/2024

    To Whom It May Concern,

This letter shall serve as a response to ********* ** ******** made to the Better Business Bureau. Here at J.P. Ward & Associates, LLC, we strive to represent our clients in a manner that reflects the highest level of competency in our area of practice, and we treat these class action lawsuits no differently.

Still, these matters often take years to result and usually involve multiple law firms. Such is the exact nature of this particular client’s case as he is one of hundreds of current plaintiffs named in the class action suit and we are and have been working with another local law firm to collect all of the settlement funds owed in the most exigent fashion possible.

Our Personal Injury paralegal, “ADAM,” called and spoke with this client on Friday, April 5th, in response to a voicemail that was left on Thursday evening, April 4th. Our client made it very clear that he was unhappy and frustrated that he had yet to receive his settlement funds. Adam explained, as he had in the past, that the Court entered an Order setting the schedule of events leading up to the disbursement of said funds. Moreover, Adam told our client that he was aware that one of the Defendants had become completely unresponsive amidst a very public insolvency. Recently, this particular Defendant's counsel was allowed by the Court to withdraw their appearance because of their, now-former, client's lack of communication.

Simply put, we want to resolve this case and collect the funds just as much as our client does. Nobody has been paid yet and this client is not alone. If there was anything else we could do to expedite a resolution, it would have been done. We are happy to continue to provide this client with updates but it becomes increasingly difficult to do so when there simply is nothing new to report. The Defendant has filed for bankruptcy and is shutting down franchises across the country. Receiving financial updates from them at this time can be likened to squeezing water from a rock.

It is important to note that this case has been resolved via a settlement agreement that was executed by all parties. This Defendant's lack of communication and failure to abide Court ordered deadlines is the sole cause for the delays in the release of settlement funds and is something well and truly outside of our control. Ultimately, we will more than likely have to go back to the court to receive a judgment against this Defendant for breach of settlement. We will continue to keep our client apprised of any updates but there is quite simply nothing else we can do at the current time apart from asking for their continued patience.

    Very truly yours,

    Jack R. H****

I paid Joshua P. Ward Attorney J.P. Ward & Associates, LLC for a civil matter and it was the worse experience ever. I paid a ton of money up front and hardly received any correspondence until 3 weeks until court date. Josh never even had the decency to meet in person. I was basically told to settle for the same amount i paid him , he did not care to listen to the terms i wanted , insulted me and gave a discriminatory comment referring to a race as you people and ignorance. Disgusting treatment then quit the case 2 weeks before arbitration and listed the reason as refusal to pay additional money.Do not waste your time unless you wanted to be charged thousands of dollars for literally a few emails.
