  The date of the purchase was 08/27/24, and the amount was $354.78. It was purchased through *******, and then redeemed on 12/12/24. The business committed to providing Six Laser Hair-Removal Treatments for a Large Area (described on the GroupOn ad as "Full arms, Lower legs, Brazilian, Chest"), with that session being the first of the six. The nature of the dispute is with Deceptive/False Advertising, and ********************** Paid For. I was asked for an upcharge to do the rest of my mustache/***** area (which I clearly stated was what I was looking for help with upfront, and in previous calls to the business) after only doing a small fraction of my face. I did not receive any type of consultation prior to the procedure besides being asked what was being done, and a consultation is also mentioned in the ad. After talking with other acquaintances in the field, I'm frankly not even convinced I got much service at all, considering the time under the laser was only 2-3 minutes with 8-10 presses to my face, and my face looked and felt no different afterwards, or in the proceeding week. And having used an at-home laser kit, I saw at least SOME minor results, even after the very first time. Veritas Medi Spa has done nothing to resolve the problem, even when asked for just a partial refund. The ad was seen on 08/26/24 on GroupOn, and is still listed as such as of 12/21/24 (though, for a different price now).

  Mr. **** questioned the treatment areas prior to making the appointment; was advised the face is considered a large area.  The first appointment he called to say he would be about 20 minutes late, but was on his way.  Advised that we book appointments back to back and the client must be here at the time of treatment; we advised that we could reschedule; the second appointment; client called 2 hours after the appointment time to say he couldn't make it, that is a no call/no show, but we waived that fee.  When he came in for the treatment, explained how the laser hair removal works, the process involved, was told that he had done it before and had no questions.  Treatment was done for the full face; then client requested add the neck, advised two separate areas, the same as if you bought a groupon for the legs and then wanted the bikini area done, they are separate areas.  He then asked for a refund; advised no refund, treatment performed that was paid for.  Also, advised client that the new lasers do not hurt.  We use the Aliya, by Cartessa, you are not supposed to feel any discomfort during the treatment; and it is a top performing diode laser for hair removal.  Patient was also advised that hair removal is a process, treatments are done every five weeks, that skin types five and six (darker skin) will take longer but to be patient.  We in no way, mislead the client, he was advised numerous times that what he bought the groupon for is the treatment he received.  Groupon can occasionally put different groupons on sale for a day or so, the business has no control over that; all of that is handled by Groupon.  At Veritas, we have the newest equipment, pride ourselves on the services we provide.
