When the movers arrived around 6:30pm on July 25th and reviewed the items to move I was given the quote of the move plus the packing. It was around $5800. This is over double what the original quote was for my move. I understand the belongings were more than what was listed on the original moving estimate but I made it very clear multiple times that there was more than what was listed on estimate. I even sent (via email) an itemized list with dimensions of what was to be moved. I have contacted the ( I am assuming sales person is the role) multiple times over the past week for a confirmation of the move and an estimate. I never received a call back. I never received confirmation on the items I emailed to his email address on the moving estimate form. I did get a hold of him on Thursday July 21st and he informed me the Director of QA would be calling me at 5pm that evening to discuss and that there was even an appointment on that person's calendar. I never received a call. I tried to call multiple times and left voice messages. No one has reached out to me regarding the move until Sunday the 24th when the driver of the move told me that window of the move. I am extremely disappointed and the price that the driver of the move told me was way more than I would have ever committed to. I would never have gone with this company to begin with. The company in bold letters on their paperwork stated the phone call with QA would happen prior to the move. The company did not hold up their end of the contract. I emailed and called requesting my $702 deposit back. I was informed I could not get it back because I turned the movers away. Again, APEX never held their end of the contract to give me the change to have the QA meeting to cancel within the normal time frame that would refund my deposit. When I called customer service after the original date the customer service manager was too busy to talk to me about the refund of the deposit.

The APEX driver arrived at noon February 26, 2022, made a quick tour of our house, then returned to his truck until about 3 pm, when three young men arrived. They began wrapping and loading furniture thirty minutes later. By 9 pm, they were visibly tired. By midnight, they and the driver were arguing about money. By this time, they were no longer wrapping items or taking time to move things carefully. The driver said they would have to make two trips. Our inspection of the truck’s contents showed plenty of room and poor use of available space. On returning from the first delivery, the driver did not back the truck up the driveway. Instead, he attempted a three-point turn and ended up driving off the driveway into the woods. He spent the next forty-five minutes trying to get back onto the driveway. In the process the wheels chewed off large chunks of the driveway and dug three-foot deep holes in the ground. Furniture was left wherever the workers dropped it in the new house. Very few items were unwrapped. By one a.m. the driver was seething, and work had just about ground to a halt. They essentially threw in the towel at 3:30 Sunday morning. When we refused to pay the final bill, the driver threatened to call the sheriff. That would’ve been okay with us, but we were physically and mentally exhausted, so we paid. The workers took off with the driver’s cellphone. He gave chase in his truck. That was the last we saw of the workers. Many items that were listed on the inventory were not moved. Most of the furniture suffered damage. Walls in both houses were nicked. Other items appear to have been lost forever.
