I received a verbal price of $9,500 from the salesman after his site visit. I did not respond for a few days then I heard a radio add for 25% off if mentioning the radio host name. I emailed salesman with the news about the add and he answered that with the discount it would be $7114 but I can do for $7,000 even, best I can do. I still did not respond for a couple more days. Then I get email saying I've been chosen from the Pgh market for a landmark pricing flexibility deal and if I sign now it would be $6500. I met with salesman at my house, I signed the contract, gave him a check for 20% down, made a start date of June 16th with the scheduling office. No show or no call on 16th. I called the office and they said I needed to talk to ******. ****** said it was the week of 16th not the actual day but not what the scheduler told me. On the 17th, salesman emails me to say he inadvertantly entered the wrong numbers onto his bid estimate and he could not do the job for that money, $6500, it would be $9534 to do a complete job as described, all 4 sides of the house. For the $6500 he could do just the front and both sides of the house. Or just refund my check and cancel the contract. I said that was not acceptable but ****** left me with those 3 options. I thought if a signed contract was in my hand and a check was in his hand after 3 days neither could back out. I am now afraid to fight to get the job done because what kind of job would it be.I wish I could leave a zero in the overall experience star.

We signed a contract on April 8 with Rhino Shield and gave them a $1,725.00 deposit. The salesman who sold us the job said the house would be properly pressure washed, scraped and caulked before they started to apply the paint. They were to start work the week of May 8 but never showed up (no call no show). They started the week of May 15. On Monday working only 4 hours pressure washing, Tuesday only working 3.5 hours and putting primer on the house, Wednesday working 6-hours started painting & on Thursday when my husband pointed out the issues Rhino Shield canceled the contract. Problems we experienced: Paint orange peeling, sagging, pocks & runs, nothing was caulked, scraped or sanded, Overspray was on - Grill, Hot Tub, Classic Car, Air Conditioner & Patio Furniture, they did not cover any of these items properly. They got the primer all over our hot tub lid then set an outdoor clock on top of the hot tub lid and the clock glued itself to the lid. At one point the Subcontractor was standing on our gas meter using it as a ladder. Subcontractor did not have proper equipment, we had to supply scaffolding and ladders. The subcontractor who they sent only brought 1 worker. They left paint, paint thinner and upright ladders in our driveway all 3 days they were here (real safe) we live in an area with lots of kids. The Regional Project Manager came out to the house on Thursday to look at the job and when my husband pointed out the issues we were having, he told us the paint dries like that to “look like Rhino skin” it’s supposed to look like that & is were the company name comes from. He was also recording my husband’s conversation with him without his consent. My husband asked him to address these issues properly or send another crew. The subcontractor had nothing good to say about Rhino Shield & quit that day. Our house is now covered with a sticky primer which we now have to figure out how to get off our house. Now need to hire someone to fix this mess.

Rhino Shield painted our home late summer 2021. We experience a few points of dissatisfaction with the quality of work performed. They sent an inspector out to speak with us and view our home. He agreed that some alterations and fixes were needed. We were asked if it would be okay to wait for Spring of 2022 to address these issues due to colder weather approaching. We agreed. By May 18, 2022 no one from Rhino Shield called to schedule their improvements as promised. This began at least ten documented phone calls, texts and emails of no one confirming any answers or even responding to have someone fix our home. it is now September 26, 2022 with No resolution to our problem! Their service has been paid in full so now we seem to not be of any importance for Rhino Shield to attend to solving the problems that have been pointed out.Where do we go from here to get this home improvement company to stand by the product and service as advertised and promised?
