  I have just had my first book published with Dorrance. I have been very satisfied and feel extremely lucky to have been with them. Through each part of the process I was assigned a rep and they were all so helpful, knowledgeable, and dependable. It was not only an education working with each one, but it was comforting knowing I could count on their guidance and attention. My book turned out beautifully. I wrote and illustrated a children's book and the final product took several changes and adjustments, all of which my production coordinator, ****** *****, patiently helped me through. I want to add that although most communication was handled by email, there were times I needed to have a phone conversation and this was scheduled easily and promptly. I think an author is fortunate to go with Dorrance Publishing and I sincerely recommend them. I could not be happier with my book and my experience!

  Dorrance helped me with my book through the entire process. They coached me, edited my work and gave valuable suggestions along the way. They provided service on time, on budget and the final product was great. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a full service publishing company

  Dorrance Publishing is a GREAT Company if you are considering writing a book and getting it published. My personal experience was wonderful, from first meeting the Publishing Services Consultant, ******. Then the Project Coordinator, ******. They both took my calls and when they were not available, their assistants did. And the President, *****, walked me through each step of the Publishing Process. I am blown away with the Editing, Page Design, Cover Design and Printing! And the Promotional Campaign, too! Words cannot say how SATISFIED, I am. I could not have had a better Finished Product!   It has been a very positive and rewarding experience having my book published by Dorrance Publishing Company. The necessary steps, phases, and target dates were clearly communicated throughout the process. By design, each of the three major phases was handled by a different assigned project coordinator. During each phase, my coordinator was always accessible via e-mail or phone appointment (scheduled using the company's online phone appointment system). All three coordinators were always pleasant and cheerful in communications. On the one occasion when my coordinator was out sick, another coordinator was available, filling in for her at the appointment time. The resulting book is handsome and fully professional in appearance. I'm especially happy with the front cover, for which I provided a concept drawing and their cover artist re-illustrated with enhancements. I'm hopeful and confident that the promotion and distribution phases will also go well.

  When I contacted Dorrance Publishing House for the first time, I didn't know they were so good. I'm impressed for the great job they did with my book. Sometimes I felt I was the most important person for them, because of their professionalism and the concern they had on my book. It was a hard work for me in the translation because my first language is not English. However, they never discriminated me or refused to help me at any time. On the contrary, they were very patients every time talked to me by phone and after every review I did before the production. I feel grateful and for sure I'll suggest to any other writer about this Publishing House. Thank you.

  I selected Dorrance Publishing because of their positive online reviews, but I regret to write that my experience has been anything but positive. It's true that I received good attention from the staff during the time they were collecting my payment, but once the total had been paid, the quality of service dropped considerably. When I received copies of my printed book, I found that the wrong version had been sent to print. I had an electronic copy of the version I had approved, but that was not the version they printed, nor was it a version I had ever seen before. I don't know what kind of quality control systems they have in place, but obviously they are inadequate. Since that date, I can't get responses to my emails and I don't know if I ever will receive corrected copies. In the meantime, my book has been pulled and can't be ordered from any site. So my $7000 is a complete waste of money. I highly recommend looking into options other than Dorrance; there are many other publishers available.

  We're sorry to hear that you were unhappy with your experience. It is untrue that there has not been communication since your book was printed. While there was an issue with the printed book, we moved to resolve this quickly and have had multiple communications with you about this over several weeks. The first copy of the revised book was sent to you last week. The book was pulled from sale while we were making the correction, as of course we don't want to sell the incorrect copy. It will be made available for sale again after you approve the revised copy. If you have additional questions, please reach out to your coordinator.
