My family purchased a home in early July 2023 using Jashaun F******* as our real estate agent. The process started out fine and turned out to be an extremely traumatic experience for myself, my wife, and our autistic son. There were several items laid out in the seller's disclosure, as well as the addendum of fixes that were never completed, and some still not completed because my wife and I do not have enough money to fix ourselves. The house was supposed to have functional central air before we even moved into the house, and we ended up paying approximately $5,000 to install. We also paid to install the dishwasher (supposed to be included) and we later found out no attic ventilation was installed (part of the addendum of fixes). Our real estate agent notified us mid-move from Tampa, FL to Pittsburgh that the AC was not working and the seller was adding a new unit to get it to function. We told him this was unacceptable and he assured us that it would all be fixed and in writing before we signed the contract for the house. During this process, he and Lydia from this Keller Williams told us to trust the seller that all they needed to do was "fix the copper wire leading to the condenser" which neither of them are HVAC experts. This was untrue as the fix was much more than fixing a copper wire. This brokerage and our real estate agent grossly misrepresented us on this transaction. Every lawyer and real estate agent asked us how in the world our real estate agent let us close on this house without everything being completed. We also did not know Jashaun was new. He was marketed on the website as an expert in several areas. We did not know this was his first transaction until we saw a KW Facebook post. The in house financing we did was awful. Up until a week before closing, we were told of numerous credits we would receive as part of our income. This brokerage is just as responsible for the seller for creating these issues. We should be compensated for their negligence.

On 7/13/23 our rights as a buyer and a human being were abused by our Realtor Linda E****. Linda broke the code of conduct (Article 1; 1:1;1:4) Linda also tried to use her power of being the owner of the Franchise Keller Williams Exclusive in Altoona to intimate/bully us into just agreeing to do what she thought was the right decision for our family, (which she had not previously disclosed, that she was the owner when we signed documents on 6/28/23).

On 7/11/23 I texted Linda to see if she had heard back from the contractor " Dustin M***** “Dustins Constructions Inc-” a contractor that was referred to us by Linda. with the quote since we had not heard anything. She texted me later that night stating we would receive it by 7/12/23, 7/12 came and nothing so on 7/13/23 I started feeling uneasy that things didn't make much sense regarding the response and waiting period. we were getting, so I sent Linda a text asking her if she had time to call me so we may discuss what is going on since Dustin had gone to the property involved on 7/7/23 and he promised to send the quote on 7/12/23 and we could not continue to wait since we needed to complete some task with our bank and pay for the appraisal. She stated she would follow up with Dustin but for me to also call him to see, I did call Dustin and he promised to submit a quote in writing before 2 pm 7/13/23 and it would include the amount and warranty info. Linda calls me and tells me she got a verbal from Dustin to go ahead and order the appraisal. I explained to Linda I would need it in writing. When Dustin finally sent the quote the numbers did not match. It was a lot of going back and forth. At that point I decided to go online and google (Dustins Contructions Inc” and could barely find anything, no official website and no reviews, at that point I was even more nervous. So I texted Linda asking if he was licensed because I could not find much info. And to provide his license #, and she replied with an emoji of a thumbs up, which I took as a Yes from her.
I kept searching online and came across the website “PA general attorney” which allows you to confirm if someone is licensed in PA. I was not able to confirm anything on line so I called “PA general Attorney office @ *************” and the women who answered advised us Dustin's licensed “license#******** " expired on 7/28/22. I texted Linda to advise her of what I was told by the General Attorney office and her reply was like if it wasn't a big deal “see pdf attached” I was confused since we had expressed to her we needed a licensed contractor.

After patiently waiting throughout this whole process on 7/13/23, linda, via phone when we expressed our concerns regarding everything that was being said/done and how things were not matching and that the "Contractor Dustins Constructions Inc” that she referred “family friend”, licensed had expired on 7/28/22. Linda's response left us shocked and confused. Linda was verbally abusive and made us feel threatened by the choice of words she used "not only will you lose your deposit, who knows what else you will end up losing" and if “you keep digging for dirt you will find it”. And when I tried to explain to her that we were in our right to have an inspection and to have a licensed contractor quote before moving forward, she just kept getting upset and said “what have you done to this poor elderly couple” trying to make us feel guilty, which left us even more confused. That same day, 7/13/23 I tried reaching someone in the office, a manager or the broker to try to resolve this matter , but no one answered the phone. I left several voice messages to the broker Michael M******* (*************************;***********************************************) and sent two emails and as of today 7/17/23 I have not heard from anyone in her team. That same day, 7/13/23 at 6:57 I texted Linda letting her know I have been trying to reach someone to please have her manager or broker call me and If I didn't hear back I would be filing a complaint. It was at that point that she advised us that she is the owner of the company and if I wanted to file a complaint that’s fine with her since her broker would back her up “see pdf attached” She also texted “he said he will be in the office tom. to call him “Allen T*******” ************, then ************. (not sure what she meant he would back her up? But after her behavior towards us I took it as a threat- so I did not call Allen Thompson- since I could not find anything online that would confirm he is the broker to that office) and to end it off she wrote " What would Jesus do" which confused me even more since she knew we are believers of Christ, we took it as a mockery after being verbally attacked by her. The next day 7/14/23 she changed her story to being “part owner” see pdf attached”. We have been emotionally and physically affected by her actions and all we want is for her to recognise she was wrong and that even if she is the owner of the company her behavior was not acceptable and that she should never use her position to intimidate others, her position does not warrant her to abuse others. Linda would benefit from an Ethic training so that no other family would be exposed to her unprofessional behavior. To prevent other families from losing the opportunity to own the home of their dreams. Not only has my family been affected but the owners of the property involved as well.
