I spoke to the company on the morning of 10/3/2022 and made arrangements for them to come to the facility and review the work that I requested be done. The guy that they sent measured the roof and contacted his boss to review the job. I was then given a price ($14000.00) and we agreed to the work being done. The following day 10/4/2022 one of the contractor's partners came and was given a check for $4500.00 as a down payment for the work, and the materials were dropped off. The next two days (10/5 and 10/6) the crew came and replaced the one section of the roof. There was still a section of metal roof that was to be coated with a sealer. That portion was not completed. The contractor assured me that they would be there the following day to finish the coating. He then asked me, since he was here, for a check to cover the completion of the job ($9500). He then came back the following day, 10/7 to review the completion of the first agreement. He had explained that the steel roof that was to be coated would need to be pressured washed before the coating could be put on and the guy he had that would be doing the cleaning would not be able to be there until 10/8. While he was at the building, he stated that there were additional things that would need addressed in his opinion. At that time, we walked around the building and spoke of some of the higher priority concerns. The second agreement was to do some metal roofing on a portion of the building and on two small outbuildings. Also, some areas that would need painted on the siding. He then gave me a price of an additional $15000 to do that portion of the work. We agreed to have them do the additional work. At that point he asked me for an additional check to cover the cost of the metal roofing that needed to be ordered for the second agreement. At that time, I wrote a third check for $6000. The materials were to be delivered on Saturday morning and the crew was to be here to work through the weekend. Never showed up.
