I rented a storage room from EZ storage in **********************, it was for $110 and I moved my items in the middle of the month. It was probably like the 20th of something. Im not 100% sure I have to look at my rental contract. Today is June 10 of 2025. I have abalance from last month so I sent my daughter into the store to make the payment for the storage fee, and the $10 late fee from last month which is $116 total. My daughter went in and I also told her to let them know that we were moving our stuff out today, so the man and woman inside of the facility said that we had to pay for the month of June as well. My daughter came back and told me I went into the store and I told them to clarify what they are saying to me I am trying to pay what I owe from last month and I want to remove my items from your storage facility because I no longer need it. They told me oh unfortunately, you have to pay forthe whole month of June just to receive my items. Its the beginning of June and they want me to pay for the whole month so they are holding my items hostage I believe because theyre probably having financial issues because right now. A lot of people do not have a lot of money to pay for storage facilities. But I am reaching out to you all to resolve this issue because after leaving out the store, I contacted the facility again, inquire about their corporate phone number, and she said that she dont know it and she dont have it which was a lie. I believe this has to do with me a black woman dealing with a predominantly white neighborhood and a predominantly white business. So I would like the Better Business Bureau to help resolve this matter because there is no way Im paying them $116 for the month of June and Im trying to retrieve my items today. Also he added an extra fees to it because online it says 226 in the store he told us 50 so I dont know what type of unprofessional games these people are playing but to me they are scamming.
