    I received my February 2025 (for Jan 2025 period) sanitary sewer monthly invoice late in the mail that was due March 5, 2025. I sent in the total payment due of $37.00 that was credited to my account on March 14, 2025. That is only 7 business days late from the due date. My next invoice came and I was charged $4.01 in penalty and interest fees for a past due charge of $37.00. I called the customer ********************** number that is on my invoice of ************ during normal business hours on March 21, 2025 at 1.30pm and I had to leave a message for a call back. I received no call back so I waited for my next invoice. I have YET to receive that invoice. I found their online site and logged in to see my account and noticed I was charged an additional $6.45. I saw a 'contact us' email address so I emailed my concern on April 28th at 8:52 PM and I have YET to receive a response. This service charges a fee for online or phone payments so I feel they need to give some allowance for the US mail. I am uploading the invoices in question that I retrieved from their online site as well as a copy of the email I sent to them. I am requesting a reversal of ALL additional fees.

    Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. We take all customer concerns seriously and appreciate the opportunity to address this billing dispute. After reviewing the account in question, we acknowledge the customer's frustration regarding the late fees assessed. We understand that mail delivery can occasionally cause timing issues beyond a customer's control. We do offer alternative payment options both in-person and online. We have reviewed the customer's account and payment history. Given the minimal delay (7 business days) and the customer's proactive payment submission, we have reversed all penalty and interest fees as a courtesy adjustment.

    The record-keeping of this business is absolutely beyond inadequate. They do not provide accurate records upon request. They double bill. We just received a Sheriff Sale notice on our home indicating we had not made a payment since April of 2023. We have receipts provided at each payment every single month. The balance has jumped thousands from one receipt to the next with no explanation. There are "miscellaneous" fees of $600 plus with no description or reasoning. When we asked what these charges were, we were given no answer. The practices of this office are outrageous. They leave residents of this borough feeling absolutely hopeless.

    Service had the opportunity to meet with the consumer on August 5, 2024 at our
    office. A review of the records indicates that the consumer is incorrect in
    their assertions, and all records are accurate. One letter had two (2) amounts on it representing different categories, but statements attached to the letter provided the full information and breakdown of those categories. Due to the sensitive and confidential nature of taxpayer
    information, those details will not be shared. Legal Tax Service is committed
    to providing accurate and transparent information and is willing to answer any
    questions from consumers to that end.
