I saw **********************, DDS (PF) in Feb 2024. Issues are as follows: 1) ********** "knew" certain work was not covered under my Delta Dental (DD) plan. I was treated for an abscess; I requested all work be submitted to DD for consideration. ********** said that their system only allows submission of covered codes & that I could call the insurance & see if they would reimburse me. I did that & found 1 procedure was covered at 50% or $550. I was told that a scan was not covered & I paid $350. DD rejected the submission for an invalid code. In Aug 2024 I requested the office send a corrected form to resubmit. ********** was convinced they were correct so no review or verification was made. I had to do the research myself & found that as of Jan 1 2024 DD approved this scan for coverage. I sent the office proof, finally received & resubmitted the *************** got $142 more from DD. PF now has $492 (140%) payment for the ******** have received $0 reimbursement. 2) May 2024 DD sent a notice of approval for a new crown. ** refused to release the crown until money was in hand. ** chooses to receive mailed paper checks instead of a more secure method by electronic payment. The check from DD never reached PF but was cashed. A fraudulent investigation is being conducted by ** which could take up to a year for a resolution. No monies for the crown or the $550.00 due me would be paid until the investigation is complete. After 6 months with a temporary in I was emailed by ** asking if I wanted to have the permanent crown inserted but would have to pay the money approved by DD before doing so. I no longer trusted PFs care or billing practices so I chose another dentist to complete the crown. First DD would not let me submit the new bill but after an appeal & further investigation DD denied PFs bill & allowed me to submit my new dentist bill as a covered expense. I have paid almost $700.00 in covered expenses to Dr. ********************** so please beware of their knowledge.
