We had our windshield replaced by Glass Doctor of KOP in Feb 2022. Immediately, we had issues with the sound of air getting in, which was dismissed at first when I called to have it looked at. I called back a few weeks later insisting that they look at it and when I brought it in, they found that, in fact, the windshield was loosely attached at the top left corner (driver side). They did re-attach it.

A few weeks later, I noticed condensation on the inside of the front windshield and called again, asking if it could be related. I was told that no, that water was getting into our car elsewhere and the heat (it was summer) caused the condensation on the windshield. Then the car floors began getting wet. After trying to find the leak "elsewhere" without any success, I finally took it to the Honda dealer when it stopped drying out between rains and began growing mold on the carpets.

The dealer could not find the leak via sunroof or any water pressure tests around the doors and trunk. Not being able to find the leak, they had to remove the seats and carpets and it was not until removing the blower box under the dash board, that revealed that all the water was coming in through the bottom edge of the windshield that had "almost NO glue" attaching it (report by dealer technician). The repair to reattach the windshield and replacement of all of the carpet (on a 13 year old car) was almost $2,000. In the meantime, this Glass Doctor shop had gone out of business. I was able to find a phone number and contacted the former owner and he told me there was nothing to pursue, he was not willing to hear me out or accept any responsibility for a faulty installation that caused thousands of unnecessary damage to our car. Corporate Glass Doctor would also do nothing to help.

I would recommend that if you see a local business owned by Daniel or Mindy Apilungo, that you choose another business and also avoid other Glass Doctor locations, they are franchises w/ no support.
