    New shingle was installed in September 2021, during the pandemic when not many color of counter flashings were available. They only had white color available but we needed darker counter flashings. White flashings were installed and the salesman wanted to spray paint in dark brown. We figure spray painting would not last long, so NO to spray painting. When the roof installation was completed, the sales man came to collect the balance, we talked about replacing the counterflashing with dark brown. The salesman amended the contract stating that the counter flashings will be replaced with no additional charge once the material becomes available and signed by the salesman and me. So we wrote him the balance, thinking that they would honor the work that was promised on the amended contract. We left the residency for the winter to **. We contacted the salesman numerous times in spring of 2022 with no response. Finally we got a hold of the owner in July of 2022, 10 months later, who would replace the partial counter flashings - front side but not the backside. We did not accept their solution since it was promised hand-written in the amended contract that the entire counterflashing will be replaced with no additional charge but they sent us a bill for the replacement if we want to replace them. They want to be paid for the work that they didn't do. We sued the company in the local magisterial court but the judge ruled against us. We do not know why the ruling was made for them especially when the amended contract clearly stated that the brown counter flashings will be installed with no additional cost. We did not hire a lawyer thinking that it's a black & white case, but evidently we were wrong. I would not recommend this company at all for violating the contract. We could go to a higher court, but we are in ** only for the summer so we put up with what we have until we have money to replace them. Make sure you don't pay until what you wanted is all DONE.
