I signed to put 3000 on my credit card for a new central air system. The man told me it would take three hours. He came out and when he got here he said he was doing this on his day off for free even though I paid 3000. He asked if he could pull his truck around back and I told him it wasn’t my property because it’s a condo. He was upset. When he came in my house he said I’m trying to hurry because I know you have to go to work and I said take your time. I can go I. Late if I have to. When he was done I asked for paperwork and he said there is no paperwork. It wasngetting cold so I said shouldn’t you wait until it’s cold and he yelled at me you have to wait 24 hours so I gave him the benefit of the doubt. The next day it was a little cold but not a lot. The next day it wasn’t cold so I turned my air off and opened the windows. I called and spoke to someone he was very rude and I said I would like to speak to the owner. He said the owner was out of the country for three months do you ant us to fix it then. Then he said I am the owner. And I said you’re the owner? He so no I’m the manager. So they schedule to come out and came wrong time as they had the two times before. The same guy came out and was at the unit and I said what is that and he said refrigerant. I said didn’t you put that in when you were here and he said I couldn’t because you have to go to work. I said do you remember me saying I can go in late take your time ? And he said well I had nobody to help me. So he tried to say it worked when I was not cold and told me never to open my windows or turn off the air. I kept it on for a couple of days and 72 and it was 80 degrees. I called all week to ask them to come fix it they would not call me back. Finally the owner called and said it works and hung up. I had two professionals come out and told me they couldn’t believe a company did this. They said the unit would never work because they used the wrong material to seal the pipes. It wasn’t strong enough

    Dear *** *******,
Thank you for giving me the opportunity to provide you with our response to the complaint made by *** ***** regarding service that she received from our company 5 months ago. *** ****** has sent in her complaint regarding our services which included the purchase and installation of a new outdoor air conditioning unit which was at a cost of $3,000.00. Please note that the new air conditioning unit was installed on June 3, 2022
We disagree with *** ******'s statement and complaint and do not feel as though she is presenting the entire story and facts. The facts of this situation are straight forward and clear. *** ****** initially contracted with our company on May 31, 2022, to install a new air conditioning unit for a total of $3,000.00 for the purchase and installation of the new air conditioning unit. The installation was scheduled for June 3, 2022. *** ****** signed an invoice/contract on May 31, 2022, stating that she agreed to our terms of installation.
*** ******'s original unit was removed, and the new unit installed on June 3, 2022. Upon completion of the installation, the unit was working properly, and *** ****** signed the invoice that the work had been completed.
On, June 9, 2022, *** ****** contacted our office stating that she felt as though the air conditioning was not cooling her home in a timely manner. Please note the attached documentation which indicates that the outside temperature in Reading, PA where she resides was 79 degrees on this date. A technician was sent to the home to evaluate the situation. Upon arrival, the technician noted that all the windows to the second-floor condo in which she resides were open. The technician evaluated the system and noted that the unit which is sold by the manufacturer as "fully charged" was charged slightly below the recommended level. The technician rectified the slightly lower charge by adding a small amount of freon. Please note that the unit was producing cool air at the correct temperature throughout the whole
    process.
The technician then advised *** ****** that she needs to keep all her windows closed in order for the system to effectively cool her home. It was explained that the air conditioning unit needs to remove all humidity from inside the home before it starts to condition and cool the air. Therefore, having all the windows in her condo open prevents the air conditioning unit from cooling the air as it is focused on continuously removing the humid air being brought in through the open windows. The technician also indicated to *** ****** that her pre-existing
vent system has diffuser vents installed in the ceiling resulting in the air being directed to the sides and not directly straight down.
As the technician was already in the home, he checked the air filter for the existing furnace and found that *** ****** had the filter installed backwards. The fact that the air filter for the furnace was installed backwards reduced the overall airflow within the home. The technician corrected the placement of the air filter and educated Ms. Miler on the correct placement when she replaces it. Please note that we did not install or service the existing furnace and merely corrected a pre-existing installation of a furnace filter.
In conclusion, the customer received the services for which we were hired. We installed a brand new ******** by ******* outdoor air conditioning unit that is 33,000 BTUS which is more than sufficient for the customer's approximate 1300 SQ. FT second story, one floor condo as it is designed to cool up to an 1800 SQ. FT home.
Please note that *** ****** disputed the charge of $3,000.00 with her credit company and as of this point in time has not been required to pay the $3,000.00 owed to our company for the purchase of the unit. We are currently working with a collections company to regain the cost of our air conditioning unit which is in her home and we plan to seek legal action through civil court if we are unable to obtain payment through collections.
If you have any additional questions, please feel free to contact me at *** ********.
    Sincerely,
    Michael H
