I had a procedure on my knee in February 2024 by Premier Ortho. I received various bills that I paid, including one in the amount of $576.99. I actually paid that amount twice (July and August of 2024). I continued to receive bills for that amount. I called the billing department and was told that the bill would be cancelled and the overpayment refunded to me. I continued to receive billing notices for $576.99 and never received my refund. I called again in late December ************************************************************ refund. I called and left a message for ******** and ***** in Premier's business office. I called again after receiving no return call.Premier owes me $576.99. This amount has been due for over 60 days. Premier continues to send me notices for an amount I already paid. This constitutes violations of collections laws. I want the full refund, plus interest and reasonable fees and costs for a total of $2,000.

A refund check has been cut and mailed today.   The patient was called and updated; he was very appreciative despite the delay in getting this refund to him.

I had an MRI on Sept 6 2022. At the time I paid $295 as my copay. It turned out my insurance paid more and the amount of the copay is actually $222.15 . I am owed the difference of $72.85 from September 6 I called in September and was surprised that they said they would issue me a check, instead of refunding the overpayment via credit card ( as other practices have done). They said to wait approximately 8 weeks. It is now approaching 12 weeks and I have not been reimbursed. I have called a gain and again, and was only told it's in the queue but they are very backed up. I thought for sure by Thanksgiving I woudl have the refund. I need my refund. I understand that it can't be instantaneous but this is out of line. I have been going to physical therapy with premier, and have paid each time at the time of service.. They do not seem to have the same understanding of proper performance so I am asking you to please help get my refund.

I am writing in response to the attached letter.  The refund that the patient is referring to was mailing to her home address on 11/14/2022.  She should certainly should have received it by now.

    Thanks,

[A default letter is provided here which indicates your acceptance of the business's response.  If you wish, you may update it before sending it.]

    Better Business Bureau:

I just received the check today, and it is postmarked Nov 29. When I called on November 15, they said they hoped it would go out in the next few weeks. I'm glad I received it, but there clearly is some misinformation here.

I thank Better Business Bureau for helping this to get resolved.

    Thank you
