As I post this review, I was hoping for a better outcome. I returned my vehicle on or around 3 weeks ago Because I couldn't afford the payments anymore. And it needed yet another repair. I told the Manager ****** that it needed a Master Cylinder. My brakes were bad. I returned soon thereafter to make the back payments on my car. I asked ****** if the brakes were alright. He said yes, the mechanic checked the car . And it needed a power steering pump, and and no mention about the brakes. Nothing fixed anyway. Within a week putting on minimal local miles. I pull into a mechanic shop and lost my brakes! The car is still there, the repairs have been made at ********. Which I can't afford. And there still charging me ****** a week! Really! They never reached out to me to try and work something out. In another couple of weeks it will be up for repo. They will have to pay the shop for the repairs. At least the next customer will have brakes! This could have been resolved thru communication and compassion. Bad Business.

It is unfortunate to see this review. ***** purchased his vehicle on January 5, 2024. Close to 17 months from the date of his review. ***** was not only a customer, he helped us around the dealership on a part-time basis in the past. After making the decision to no longer work for our us, ***** made the decision to voluntarily return his vehicle. A few weeks later, ***** contacted us and said he wanted the vehicle back. After making the past due payments, we returned his vehicle to him. There were no repairs completed on our end. There was never an agreement for us to complete any repairs ***** claims the vehicle needed. We include a comprehensive 6 month warranty with every vehicle. This warranty on this vehicle has long since expired by almost a full year. ***** knows full well that any repairs needed on his vehicle were his responsibility. ***** made the decision and gave approval to a local shop to repair the vehicle without the ability to pay for the repairs. Now, he is attempting to slander our name in an attempt to get his vehicle repaired for free. We never gave approval for the repairs ***** approved. We will not be paying for the repairs ***** approved. The vehicle is currently in possession of the local shop. We have no intention of attempting to settle with them or repossess the vehicle.Review fromStefon J

I took off work to come purchase a vehicle I liked. *** optima test drove. Everything was great. Did the paper work and left got 5 min down the road. The engine started knocking. And felt unsafe. I drove it back and they stated at first they couldn't fix the engine. Then called again next day saying they will put another engine. Or. Switch to another vehicle but I decided to go elsewhere.. Everyone was friendly I will say that. However I was turned off on the fact the vehicles was "checked before inspection" but reality doesn't seem like that but if you got a good vehicle from them then that's great! But for me. I would never go back. I wasted my time and money and had to **** back. But they paid for the **** as they should have for the inconvenience and I got my refund right away which was good.. just warning. You people if you go there to buy a vehicle you need $1000 to $2000 most. But they have $500 options as well. Just cars with high mileage. But. Take a machanic or someone that knows about cars before buying from them....Advantage Auto Sales & Credit, Inc.

Thank you for your re,view. Unfortunately, regardless of all the time we spend having vehicles inspected, reviewed, and driven, before we offer them for sale, they are machines that do not know that you just purchased them. They also can't tell us when they will malfunction until they do. I personally drove this one from our mechanic, approximately 10 miles, to our dealership and commented on how well it drove. That being said, the warning you gave is something we already do. If you don't remember, we offered you to take your car to a mechanic or have someone come to the dealership to checkout the vehicle, but you declined. We have your signature on 2 separate documents discussing this option and you waving it. We also have your signature on the invoice from our mechanic showing that the vehicle was inspected by a licensed PA inspection mechanic. In addition to those potential safe guards, we also offer a 48 hour, no questions asked return policy. Finally, every vehicle comes with at complete CarFax and ************ report to the show complete history of the vehicle along with any possible recalls. We also have your signatures on those copies as well. As you stated, we returned your down payment and even paid for your **** home as a sign of goodwill. We have been in business for since 1992 and have provided reliable transportation for thousands of families spanning four generations, including some of your family and friends. It seems unfair to recieve a 1 star review for something that was completely beyond our control but took every step to rectify the situation.
