I purchased a tax practice located at ***************************** in Doylestown, PA. I did not purchase the company, I purchased the client list. They had a lease with Fraser for a ****** ** **** copier. That lease expired on November 30, 2022. Prior to that expiration, we were contacted by ******************************* a senior account Executive with Fraser to replace the existing machine. She made a proposal that I believed was too high for my company. I looked around and found an offer with another vendor that I felt better fit our needs. My intention was not to negotiate with Fraser, I assumed that the price that I had been given was the price. When I informed ****** that I was going to go with another vendor she responded with an email that had a lower price, all kinds of things that she perceived to be a weakness with the vendor, and a note that if I did not go with their contract that I was on the hook for another year with the current lease company. But that if I went with their contract that obligation would disappear. In an email dated 12/2/2022 she indicated that the renewal had gone away. I decided to go with the other vendor, and I have an email from ****** indicating that I only had to make the December payment and the copier would be returned. I made that payment and let her know. I received a subsequent email from her that there is a buyout of about $1,500 that needs to be made yet. that was not mentioned in the email where she indicated that after the December payment we were done. I took ******'s word as an employee of Fraser at face value believing it to be true. I have it in writing. I was mislead, whether intentional or not only ****** and Fraser know. But I feel that Fraser is responsible for the promises made in writing by their employee. I am uploading copies of the email. Please note, that the lease is not under my company, and I did not sign it. I am being threatened when I am not a party to the old lease. I want Fraser to pay the buyout and take the machine.
