I had an inspection mechanic taking a look at my car to determine what work it needed before inspection coming up and they informed me that the car should have never passed the salvage inspection because the front frame of the car is pushed in and rubbing against the driver side tire. I am aware that I purchased an r-title car however it is supposed to go through a full inspection to insure safety and it should have never passed the first inspection let alone the pa state inspection. I contacted the company coming before filing a formal complaint because something needs to be done to rectify this situation. And they blamed me said I damaged the car and frame in the winter time, but I think I would be aware of damaging my car to the point the frame was twisted. Told me to contact the insurance company to get it fixed but I'm not sure why I'm footing the bill for a car I didn't damage.

This vehicle had went through an enhanced inspection years ago, prior to us getting it after it was repaired (according to carfax)  we did not do the enhanced inspection.    It was on the road for many of miles after the initial accident as reported to ******.    While we had it prior to the sale, we never noticed any tire rubbing issues, and it has been driven for almost a year prior to hearing of any issues.

     Complaint: 23231654

I am rejecting this response because:
I was informed by penndot that you guys actually did do the inspection. Therefore this is nothing but lies of you guys stating you did not do the inspection.

Now, I have pictures of said frame rubbing against the driver side tire. And will be taking further action. Furthermore I had to replace a 7 year old battery because no one could have been bothered to replace it even though they should be replaced every 3-5 years.

I stated prior, that we did not do the enhanced inspection (as we are not even licensed to do enhanced inspection).  This is different than state inspection.   That was completed before we ever had the car and certified repaired and save prior to us getting it.

     Complaint: 23231654

I am rejecting this response because:

After speaking with penndot the station number comes back to your location.

Which means you had to have seen the frame was still bent upon doing the inspection.

I am unsure why this is a battle with you guys, I'm only asking for help fixing a mistake that should have been caught before selling the car, since again PennDot stated the station number on the inspection and emissions sticker comes from your location.

Im aware you guys did not do the inital pass of the title, but since you did do the inspection, i will not argue that point with you further because its been proven by the state, your inspection mechanic should have noticed the frame was still twisted.

I'm not asking you guys to buy back the car, but I am asking that you guys pay to fix to get the frame straightened since your inspection mechanic must have noticed this, and passed it anyway.

I am now being penalized by faulty work from the r-title inspection down.

Do you guys have the name of the company who initially passed the r-title because I will gladly reach out to them as well.

    Regards,

Yes.  We did the emissions and safety inspection.      That vehicle doesnt have an actual frame like a truck would.  But has a sub frame.      Did not notice any rubbing or twisted structural items during safety inspection.   (Or else it would not have passed - almost a year ago).

no idea what station did the enhanced inspection, no way of knowing.    It was already done and had a reconstructed title prior to us getting it.       It was traded in at *********************, where we purchased it from.

Please dont buy a car here! I am beyond exhausted and ****** with dealing with this place. I purchased a vehicle in 2023 that only lasted about 10 months before the car needed an entire new engine. A month into having it we called and received no call back about it. It wasnt till I took further action and left a bad bbb review where they then called me to help out. I initially asked for the cost to be covered or to be refunded some of the money to deal with the loan. Instead they barely gave me s*** for the car as a trade in and put me in another best value car, essentially only making my loan a higher amount. Only 2 days after having this new car, engine light was flashing on top of other random lights. I call and schedule a time to go in for a look as it has only been 2 days I was not going to be responsible for anything. I eventually take the car in and was there no more than 5 minutes for them to zip tie the problem and assure me it was nothing major. Mind you I went in with a printed paper from auto zone stating what was needed to be fixed and they said not to do that. That same night the issue was still happening. They then offered me a warranty which I pay monthly for s*** because after being told its the best warranty I can get and Im lucky and that it covers everything, my car is now in a shop not even 2 months after buying it, does not run and needs engine work costing ******* out of pocket because the warranty he so praised, doesn't cover s*** I will never do business with these people or refer anyone to them. I never go as far as leave nasty reviews but they deserved it both times. They were nice and helpful but that was fake. They are the type who talk after you leave.

Hello,  were sorry that you had an issue with your vehcile.  While we look over and inspect every vehicle we sell, we realize issues can still arise. We include a warranty on all of our pre-owned vehicles.  The warranty provided is from an independent company.  If an issue does arise after sale, we advise the customer to work directly with the warranty company.   We, as a pre-owned dealership do not decide the warranty coverages or limitations, which is between the warranty company and customer directly.

I bought a car from them July 2023. Not even a year later and its in need of an entire new engine. Repairs costing me about 5k. I paid about 7k and still owe over 8k for the loan with interest. I realized a few weeks into getting the car that there was ***** and issues. I noticed that the stickers for the inspection didnt seem right and were peeling. As if they were fake or just slapped on knowing there was prior car issues.

Hello,  were sorry that you had an issue with your vehcile.  While we look over and inspect every vehicle we sell, we realize issues can still arise.  Keep in mind, we include a warranty on all of our pre-owned vehicles.  Which is 3months / 3K miles.        Being a year later, and not knowing how the vehicle was maintained, anything can happen.

I Purchased a used vehicle from this dealership back in June. Before I purchased it I asked their mechanic if it would pass its state inspection when it came due and he assured me that it would. Well the inspection ran out and I took it to my mechanic to get it inspected and my mechanic informed me that there is no way possible for it to pass inspection and furthermore it shouldnt have passed for at least the last 2 to 3 years! In order for it to pass it will need ball joints, a tie rod, tires, and a radiator support because the current one is completely rotted/ rusted away

We have responded to messages left by ****************** on our ******** Business / and also ****** prior to this.    This vehicle was sold approximately 6 months ago to ****************** AS-IS without any guarantee as clearly stated on the legal contact which ****************** signed on the day of purchase.  As always, we    disclose any and all known defects that were aware of prior to us selling any vehicle.
This vehicle was last inspected by a **** dealership, 6 months prior to us purchasing and selling this vehicle,  not our repair facility, as indicated on the carfax report. We did make ****************** aware of this.

We are unaware of any verbal conversations ****************** had with our former employee who is no longer employed by our company, in which he indicated in the complaint.

     Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

I was in contact with the state inspector auditor and I was informed from him that because of the condition of this vehicle it was fraudulent of the dealership to sell it to me for a few reasons. One it was not legal to be sold on a safety aspect because of how bad the radiator support is deteriorated. Two it was false advertising when they advertised the vehicle as being in excellent shape when in all reality it was in poor condition. I was also advised to contact the state attorney general about this (which I did) and as per advice from the attorney generals office I will be contacting my local district magistrate. I will not rest until this is corrected!

    Regards,

I purchased a 2012 ********** ****** from Charles H Price on August 23, 2023 (2 weeks ago today). Driving home on Monday the check engine light came on. We pulled over and turned the car off, then tried to turn it back on but were unable to. I paid to get it towed home and paid to get it towed to ********** of Reading the following day. They found the issue was too much fuel getting into the engine and a major oil leak as well as a worn out battery. If we did not stop when we did, this combination could have resulted in the vehicle catching on fire. The ********** service tech did acknowledge that these are issues Charles H Price should have seen and fixed before selling the vehicle.

We're sorry to hear the vehicle is having issues.

We have talked to this customer in person, and also responded to their negative ****** review which they've also left us. ** As always, we issue a warranty which covers failures of major components, as well as other items. Provided by *** Warranty company -  this vehicle has coverage through warranty company **

This vehicle was driven over 1000  miles after being sold, before issue happened. Prior to sale it had zero known issues or problems and was driven 100 miles prior to selling.

The customer also showed us an estimate from ** for repairs,Most of the items  listed on the estimate were items in which ** is trying to upsell, and not required such as, Cabin air filter - Brake fluid exchange - Air filter - and most of the rest of the estimate were all "suggestions" from the dealership.
