The transaction started in May 2023. We met with the foreman at the time and loved all he was promising us when the job would be done. We would be getting a retaining wall with stone for drainage. The blocks would be glued and good, plantable soil would be added. A contract was signed the beginning of June 2023 and deposit of $1254 was placed. The contact was very veg listing the job with no breakdown of prices. However, we believed what the foreman told us and continued with the project. When finally starting, days late do to “foreman doing this or that” and didn’t make it when they were supposed to, we didn’t see the original man who was here. The new Forman didn’t even know what he was doing at our house. I had to explain the project when he arrived. After an hour or two of starting, man left. This continued all week of the project. They men came for a bit and left for hours. Then came back for a bit more. The project was a retaining wall that continuously needed checked and requested to straighten and fix certain blocks. Make of the blocks have even been broken or cut. While glue was supposed to be used to stabilize the wall to protect our children, the wall had both glue and caulk and not on every block. We can literally pull the blocks apart. I am especially upset with the dirt that was added to the flower bed. It is full of stones, weeds, mold, and wood. It is not the “good, plantable” soil we were promised. One small addition was that the men were to remove poison in the back of our house growing in ornamental grasses. We were told that they could pull it, but nothing else could be done. Which again was not the original conversation but the first forman. Not only did the job not meet our standards, it also was not done correctly, and cost too much for what we were given. We would like a refund to do the job correctly!

It is not letting me respond to this complaint with photos of before and after. I was not given the opportunity to address any of these concerns however I do have on hand the material breakdown cost and material receipts. The correct material was used and project was completed to code.

     Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because: We have not seen any of the breakdown or proof of materials purchased, where or for how much. The picture attached has all be completed with Caulk not liquid nails. Soil is not plantable

We are very sorry to hear that you are not happy with the work performed. We would appreciate the opportunity to make your concerns right. The original foreman that you had met with is no longer employed by our company. We have no problem addressing the concerns & furthermore making sure it is done to your satisfaction. I would like to ensure you that we did put top of the line soil that should have been great for planting. I can provide you with the receipts to show exactly what soil was used and why we chose what we did.
