June 22nd of 2022 roughly the contract was signed with Anthony w************* of winks construction. It was signed at the *** ******************* address to have 5 ******* mini split systems installed. He verbally told us no more than 3 weeks to install. However he couldn't promise due to shipping. Which was understood. He requested 8000.00 dollars down which we paid cash. He claimed he wanted cash so he didn't have to pay taxes. That's on him, as time has grown on he change times, claiming he didn't have time to get them, they're back order, he said he did have them, he was just too busy with a higher paying job currently. Then he claimed he sent them back and said we canceled the job, he said there is a process. He told us not to contact him no more, he never answers his phone, he sends back a reply saying he is too busy to answer, he can't talk till late in the evening, then says his business hours are 7-3. He keeps giving the run around. He has basically took our 8000.00 cash and used it thus far as a interest free loan. Regardless we have requested a refund or even the units. He has been very ignorant and not very professional. I myself own 2 separate business and his ethics are horrible. He is also stealing money from senior citizens who are on a fixed income. They are my parents. The deal was between my parent and I, as well as him. I feel he is using them as because of there age and limited advances in the technology world. I would appreciate any help in this manner. My dad's cellphone number is ********** if you need to reach him as well for any info. Thank you for your help in this manner, *******************

I hired Wink’s Construction to scrape and reseal my basement, replace a broken light in my barn, fix the electrical cord hanging on the back of my house, replace the porch light, and put outlets in my basement for a refrigerator and deep freezer, which were plugged into unsafe extension cords. I was very pleased with the job Chad and Joey had done. Two days later, I opened my chest freezer, and everything had thawed. I moved the plug back into the extension cord it had been in and the freezer started again. I then plugged my refrigerator into the new outlet and sparks flew. When I addressed these issues with the owner, he told me the problem was not the outlets but rather my appliances. When I called (very upset that my food had thawed) and asked that they come back and look at it, he told me that the technicians had explained the unsafe nature of the outlets to me and that I still wanted to do it. However, I did not understand that a 220 line had been spliced into and that my appliances would be destroyed, and a fire could start in my house. The owner did not agree to fix the outlets so that they were safe and usable, nor did he offer to replace the ruined food. He stated that they would only return if I agreed to sign another contract for several thousand more to put in a larger breaker box (Another electrician told me that there was room for the breakers and a new box was not needed.) and rewire my house. I asked for a copy of the contract I had originally signed, and would they mark it “Paid in full” and date it for my records for my house for my children eventually to know when things had been done. I also wanted a copy of all the materials that had been bought so that I might use some of it on my taxes. I was refused.
