i booked a 2 person balloon flight in december 2024 for april 24, 2025 5pm. 1 week later i attempted to change the date to sept 18 2025 5pm. i have called and emailed so many times i can't even keep count. i have received no response at all from this company. now I would just like my deposit refunded. I purchased two Hot Air Balloon rides for 10/22/23 from this business. The trip was cancelled by the company due to weather. I rescheduled for 6/8/24 and that trip was also cancelled by the company due to weather. The terms and conditions attached to the initial email that state 'full refunds are available when cancelled by weather' ("terms and conditions"). I attempted to contact the company for a refund multiple times by both phone and email, and have not received a reply.Initial Complaint

I purchased a $600 gift certificate (for a price of $510 as it was on sale) in December 2023. My wife and I booked a hot air balloon flight for June of 2024. Reservation for ride for four on April 10th, 2025 was made in late 2024. An unforeseen issue made it necessary to cancel (knowing my initial $100 was not refundable). Since January 27th , I have tried three times through phone messages and emails each time to request cancellation on this trip and an acknowledgment from Lancaster Balloon rides that my request was received and the cancellation was completed. I have not received any response from this company. I do not want to have them claim that the remaining trip cost of $1000 is still owed and I do not want to search for consumer protection agencies due to their failure to respond.Initial Complaint

On October, 26, 2024 I bought a $500 gift card with a $30 service charge. About 36 hours later I found out that the recipient of the gift was not able to use it. I immediately emailed the company asking for a refund. I didn't hear anything. I called a few times as well and have not heard anything. I then sent another email on October 31, 2024 and did not get a response. I found the owner, ***** Frame, on ******** and sent a message on November 16, 2024 and did not get a reply. I purchased a hot air balloon ride from Lancaster Balloon Rides in spring of 2023. $500 was a gift card and paid the remaining balance when I used the gift card to book a June 2, 2023 flight. Total was $844.50. We drove 3 hours and booked a hotel for the evening flight. That was canceled with winds below 5 miles an hour. So we quickly booked the next day for 6am. That was also canceled. Two perfect days. I did research and understand they need perfect weather but those two days showed how perfect I guess they need to fly. I reached out and asked for a refund. They stated that they can refund everything except the $500 for gift card as gift cards are not refundable. (Research shows on their website they are with a 6% penalty. Only found this out recently). I have called and emailed them many times. No reply or call back at all. I am out of his refund window but that was due to hi lie. Over the last year we tried to schedule and rectify this but unfortunately living 3 hours away and their constant flight cancelations we were unsuccessful. I also asked about the other locations that is all over their website. He said they only fly out of one location for me to use my credit. I just want a refund. They can even keep 10%, but just no answers or anything has me doubting Ill ever use it or get my money back. ****** is the ** and seems to be the only person that emails and answers phones. Purchased a private balloon ride and it was canceled due to weather. It was rescheduled for Oct 20 after many unanswered emails and phone calls. When we arrived, the owner (****) said there had been a mistake and he had scheduled a group ride for that day. He offered to refund us the difference if we wanted to take the group ride or he would reschedule again. We decided to take teh group ride as this was the second time we had driven out to the meeting point (a two hour drive). We were told we would be issued a refund but after two weeks and a few emails I can't even get a reply, much less a refund!Initial Complaint

I booked a hot air balloon ride on July 22nd, 2024 with a down payment of $41.50. The balloon ride was scheduled for October 1st, 2024. Two hours prior to the ride I was informed it was canceled due to weather. I booked a hot air balloon ride with the company in June. They cancelled because of weather but won't refund, or even respond to multiple emails and phone messages regarding a refund.The flight was booked for June 13th, then modified to June 17th. We rescheduled for the following day when the original flight was cancelled but that was also cancelled.Original booking was made on Jan 9th.I have attached the original booking conversation and some of the emails sent regarding the refund (I also sent several other emails and left multiple phone messages as I was never able to get an answer when I called).
